That's nothing to be ashamed of.

The media hyped KC because that's what they do. KC fans got excited because the drastic improvement was shocking.

The Denver games were a reality check. KC is a good team now.

They're not a great team. They're not a SB team. May not be a playoff winner...
When Chiefs are average to good (it has been awhile for "great"), Denver loses at KC. End of discussion. You were at home, must win and had a 14 point lead. You needed to close us out and our defense started stopping the scoring while Peyton got us going with tds. Like I said, Chargers game was a bite but this game was the stinger. You win, you are in first place and control your destiny. You lose, you can probably kiss the division away to Denver and go on the road for playoffs.

This Thanksgiving, I gave thanks to the Kool-Aid man, for not figuring out that Jamaal Charles needs to be more of a part of the Chiefs offense. Once he figures that out, the Chiefs might be a powerhouse...

And we lost.

It hurts, but there's no one here feeling beaten.

We won't win the division and we'll be stuck in the 5 spot.

If KC even wins 1 playoff game what argument do the haters have that this was a "bad" season?...

I still laugh every time NFL network talks about us being a "running team."

KC was never, at any point, a running team this year.

They're an incomplete team, for sure. But a team with a questionable defense is going to be seen as less of frauds then a team with a questionable offense. You're going to have to put up a lot of points at some point in the postseason.

And while I'm still not sure they're going to have much playoff success, didn't think Baltimore was going to last year, either.

How much more can they really use him though? He's being worked like a dog this season and will easily exceed his prior career highs for rushes and receptions and, given his injury history, that's not necessarily a good thing.

Probably because you only had one RB and he was run into the ground. Davis might be a legit backup one day but Reid didn't seem to trust him any more than he trusted his WR's to catch balls downfield.

Even without the playoff win, it'll be a great season for KC. And I say that because that's exactly how it'll go down.

But still. What a step up from last year.

I know it's been about a month since your post, but I want to point out how much better Carolina is than Kansas City. Carolina would beat them in Kansas City, and obviously in Carolina.

et tu, Beavis? I like that.

I guess magnanimity comes a little easier after your team is done sweeping up.
