Well there's a few things that happen when it's really cold. For one, people are DEAD wrong when they say it Manning loses strength in the cold. Extreme heat is when you lose strength. They've done studies where they'll work an athlete in extreme heat and he wears out fast, then they put this weird cold glove on just a single hand which drops the core temperature and the athlete actually regains strength and stamina quite fast. So as far as stamina and strength is concerned, cold is actually better then heat. That said, the cold takes it's toll in other places. The ball obviously gets harder and more stiff and it's hard to grasp it really good. Larger hands usually means a QB will have an easier time throwing the ball well in very cold conditions. I've also seen somebody say that practicing in the cold won't help. That's BS as well. When you practice in the cold, you can adjust to how hard the ball is and you tweak certain things. I'm not saying it makes a huge difference but how could it not help at least to some degree. As well, the air in the ball as well as outside the ball, when it's colder, is more dense and the ball falls to the ground faster. That's just science. When you practice enough in these conditions, you get used to the ball being harder, and the ball not flying quite as far as it normally would. It's not a huge difference but on a 40 yard pass, it might equate to a yard or 2 and that could make all the difference in the world when you're trying to fit the ball in tight windows. When you have a cannon for an arm, obviously it's not going to affect those types of guys as much, but we all know PM doesn't really have a cannon, so yes, practicing in the cold will definitely help him. Then you have the psychological part as well. I just don't see how anybody could say not practicing or playing in these conditions doesn't help you. The more cold weather games PM plays in, the better prepared he will be late in the season I believe.

To beat Fitzpatrick you just need to force him to throw to the middle of the field. The guy can hit everything along the sidelines and was doing so in Buffalo before other teams discovered this. No reason we can't do the same.

I like the Titans. They are about where I figure they would be but have been in some games to the end (like vs Colts). I would not take them lightly but at home, this game should go our way.

The scouting report on Flacco last year showed that he was completely incapable of throwing deep unless it was to the right side, which he did very well. He never even looks to his left on the deep routes. The announcers even talked about it during the game, like it was common knowledge. Certainly wasn't to us, apparently.

Fitz is pretty bad on the road, but he's had to play some tough teams on the road.

3 TD's on 5 ints, 61% completion for a meager 6.4 YPP.

He's actually a very good third down quarterback this year: 38 of 63 for 601 yards, 60% completion 9.53 YPP 6 TD's against 1 int 117.2 rating....but he's taken 7 sacks. So he'll hang around to beat you, but sometimes wait too long and get hit or take a sack.

He's terrible on first down for some reason - 1 TD to 6 ints, 6.5 YPP, 51 QB rating.

He's actually coming off one of his worst games of the season. Prior to the Colts game he had two games of a QB rating of 110+.

The Titans haven't beat a team with a winning record since 2011. It was the Texans the final game of the season when they were resting their starters - thought it was in Reliant.

What I have got out of this thread is that the Titans are just a better version of the Chiefs.

Can't argue that but I will point out that the Ravens were still beating teams despite this "handicap." Fitz was no longer beating teams when this trait was discovered.

They are similar, but Fitzpatrick is not as good as Smith.

Unless Broncos make 2-3 big mistakes I think they have way too much talent at the skill spots for Titans to handle.

Chris Johnson I thought was only crappy due to blocking but i watched him last week fairly close and he just seems to not explode once into space like he used to. Now that i say that he prob goes long on us but whatever.
