I remember when Shanahan said it would take 3-4 off seasons to rebuild the team the right way... GTFOH

Seeings how bad that Skin hurry up offense sucked I guess that's the reason they haven't ran the hurry up.

It seems the biggest winners of Shanny going to the Skins are the Rams

They are about to get a top 10 maybe top 5 pick in class that looks to have some elite talent at the top

I wonder if he could anticipate that the NFL would assess a 36 million dollar cap penalty to them for failing to collude to artificially keep spending low during the uncapped year, such that he is hamstrung from building the team properly until this upcoming offseason and got away with miracle coaching last year when only the first part of the penalty was in effect.

I'm guessing not.

The problem is that the players that he does have on the field constantly play without discipline. They aren't efficient... They look god awful.

And the Washington R words had better start looking for RG4 because this model can't throw!

Don't understand the Shanny hate. It was time for him to go, but I have many fond memories of his time here. Anyway, I don't think he can survive this.

I think he would be well served to let Kyle go to another team, and he put his ego away and take a job with a real GM. He just coaches. He should also hire a young "Gase" type OC and incorporate some new concepts, because the NFL has clearly caught up with his system.

I wonder if you Shanahan defenders ever realize there is always an excuse?

Shanahan is done and he will never hang with the big boys ever again.

McDaniels would run laps around Shanahan as a GM and head coach...

Lulz.

No need to reply to any substantive points after that.

It's about to be 3/4 seasons Redskins are finishing LAST in their division with Shanahan at the helm...only a delusional nut would find some excuse. Strong organizations do NOT allow that to happen no matter WHAT...you see Patriots starting a plethora of rookies year in and year out and winning games...Brady goes down? 11 wins.

John Fox? Gets to the playoffs and wins a game against the Steelers with TIM TEBOW.

Redskins are a laughing stock...as is Shanahan. Can't draft for **** either.

Yeah, that extra money would have helped no doubt.

Wash was one of two organizations in the NFL that got nailed with that penalty. Dallas was the other. They did something wrong.

6 points at home, jeez. And Wash doesn't have their #1 pick again next year.

Without looking at anything, McDaniels 2 drafts and FA classes with the Broncos are better than all 4 of Shanahan's on the Redskins.

No need to reply to facts I guess

I agree. He always loses any respect when he goes the McDaniels route and we know he paints that dude in a positive light. Then again, it could be true.

Well I brought McDaniels up to show you how bad Shanahan is...so to read that I'm painting him in a "positive light" is all up to your interpretation. I'm not out here comparing McDaniels to anything great here...it is Mike Shanahan we are talking about

At the end of the day, if you're out here defending a GM/Coach for finishing at the bottom of the division for 3 out of 4 years, there is nothing else but delusional nut as a description for you.

It's really that simple.

Another Shanahan fan huh? How ****ty has it been for the past 8 years?

The only stupidity on display is the Shanahan defenders who time and time again defend this coach for his failures and mediocrity.

Let's shift this conversation to what I said about McDaniels though, as if that's the premise of what we're talking about...

Last place in 3 out of 4 years... being in last place with a team in your division with a team that started out the year with 6 straight losses...

This ain't about McDaniels this is about SHANAHAN being a crap head coach and even worse GM.

Kaepernick wins second place for "Most Obnoxious Dude in Post Game Interviews" Jay Cutler is #1.

Don't deflect from your stupidity with random irrelevant attacks:

You claimed the most laughable coach in the history of the Denver Broncos and perhaps the NFL itself could "run laps" around the greatest Denver Broncos of all time and 2x Superbowl champ (as a head coach).

No matter how hard you try to continue to deflect and hide behind emoticons, you're a joke.

Shanahan's time is done. I am claiming he would run laps around Shanahan NOW. Shanahan had his time as a great HC. That time is done...whatever it is...his philosophies...coaching style...scheme...etc...it's outdated.

Shanahan is the greatest Broncos HC of all time, but he's been a ****ty one for the past 8 years.

I brought up McDaniels as an example to how ****ty Shanahan is... that's the POINT, OBVIOUSLY.... but for you guys to think Shanahan is even competent at this point in time, is a joke in itself.
