He's got an impressive Hail Mary checkdown.

He's ok of your Defense plays scrub QBs... Otherwise, he can't go big, hence Kap in San Fran

Good call Bob.

Considering that the pass rushers did nothing, I thought the rest of the Chiefs defense played a whale of a game. Lulz at Smith throwing swing routes even at the end of the game.

I liked how Smith scrambled for a few yards on the last play of the half.

Then the checkdowns on the last possession.

Honestly, what's the logic?

Making his stats look nice? Does he own himself in fantasy?

Bizarre.

Yeah you did, Bob.

And with his average from this game at 5.1 yards per pass, against one of the poorer pass defenses in the NFL, it is clear that you guys are never going anywhere with Alex Smith.

However with Reid an that defense, you should be just marginal enough to never get an elite QB for a good ten years. Congratulations.

You should go after Kyle Orton...just to secure the wasted part.

He's a stopgap, nothing more or less.

You guys really have to draft one high next year.

I honestly will be scared of the Chiefs though if they get a good QB in the draft next year. They are a solid QB away from being a real superbowl contender.

What Khan said: Alex Smith is just mediocre enough to hang around for years.

So crazy question and totally off the wall Chicago doesn't re-sign cutler. Does he help the chiefs? Or even rothlisberger?

Chiefs played a good game defensively, considering how the Broncos offensive line did against KC's great pass rush.

I do think Denver missed some opportunities to put more points on the board, if they really wanted to do so. It was more about playing the clock and avoiding a turnover late. Manning made one big mistake, that KC was unable to capitalize on.

Smith played the best game of his career this season. Seriously he did somethings he never does in games. Some of it was probably because he had to. However those dump offs when you need 17 and he gets 3 yards and the back is tackled in bounds? That's Alex Smith. He'll complete three passes on a down for a net average of 9 yards and punt, but his QB rating will sure look pretty! Weee!

I tend to agree. Our defense actually made things really tough for him. He is not the guy you want taking snaps under center though if you have playoff aspirations. I see him more as a quality backup to be honest.

That **** was hilarious! Down by 10 with under a minute left...need big chunks of yards. And he tosses a dump-off for 0 yards, in-bounds so the clock keeps running.

If that offense can't get YAC, they're toast.
