We're going to have to buy extra bags sister. You're never going anywhere but the lottery if you expect Gordon Hayward to lead your team.

But hey, at least they'll be able to screw up a lottery pick and take some stiff cracker. That'll give all 5 Jazz fans left something to b**** about all summer.

I'm totally shocked at how decent this rag tag fleet is. They had both the Thunder and the Spurs on the ropes and only lost in the final minute. Very close games. Did you hear the the Spurs fans in that game at the end..........lol. When they finally took the lead with like 40 seconds left, it sounded like game 7 of the finals or something. Hahaha, that rag tag group from Phoenix just about shocked their world. Too bad Bledsoe slipped on some floor sweat on his final shot, which would have given them the lead. No worries, it's still fun to watch this team. Gawd it is so much better watching a young athletic team get after it vs watching an old and slow crippled team just trying to hang on.

I never do this, but here it goes.

The Nuggets need to blow it up. And quick. They need to trade everyone but Lawson and Gallinari and tell Gallo to take his time getting healthy. Get what you can for Faried and Chandler (but wait a little until they are healthy and hopefully put up some stats so you can get some value). If you can unload McGee's terrible contract in the process that's a bonus.

Just make sure you bottom out this year. Best draft class in 10, maybe 20 years? Make sure you get into the top 5. Only chance they have at getting a star. Do it. And do it quickly.

When they started the year looking so bad I started thinking that an absolute tank job and a shot at a top 3 pick was the way to go. But now they're winning and there's clearly a lot of teams that are worse, so it's unfortunately looking like a late lottery pick is the best case scenario. Unless they get lucky with the ping pong balls.

Well I think the better analogy would be San Antonio. They kept stars for multiple contracts. OKC hasn't really done that. Both Durant and Westbrook are on their second contracts. All players, after their rookie deals, sign their second contract with the team that drafted them. Carmelo signed his second contract with us here before leaving at the end of that. So we'll see what OKC can do.

But anyways, I think it's possible but we have to find the right guy. We need to find a guy that doesn't crave the big market. We need that Tim Duncan type.

Well Wilson Chandler is on his game. I personally underrated him. I'm not saying he's a star or anything, but he can play some ball. He's come out hot from 3 range which is nice.

I've also been very pleasantly surprised with JJ Hickson. Again not a star, but a solid guy.

So yeah, we're headed for that dreaded middle ground. We'll duke it out for the 8th seed, which sucks. Personally I'd be fine with tanking this year. Give Gallo the Derrick Rose treatment, hold him out until next year.

The interesting thing to follow that we haven't discussed in this thread is that we have the rights to the Knicks draft pick in the next draft. How it works is this: as a result of us trading for Igoudala last year, we owe Philly the lesser of our draft pick or the Knicks' draft pick which we have the rights to. So we have to keep an eye on NY and hopefully they lose a bunch. Tyson Chandler being out helps, although unless Carmelo gets hurt they'll make the playoffs. But something to keep an eye on.

Yeah, it's not going to be easy. We need a high draft pick, and we need the right personality. Call it character, whatever. We need that boring guy. And I say boring with the utmost respect, Duncan is phenomenal.

Rose underwent an MRI, which revealed a medial meniscus tear in his knee.

Sad to see a great talent that will probably will never be the same.

The lower pick goes to Orlando. But yeah, hopefully the Knicks continue to suck

A meniscus tear is not a big deal. He will be back in 6 weeks. I was fearing another ACL. The really bad news was averted. Chicago can survive a month and a half without him.

You are right, my eyes read MCL. Hopefully he has a quick recovery. Can't wait to see him in the playoffs...

Spurs keep on winning. No idea why Pop didnt play Patty Mills more last year over Joseph. Dude brings energy and can actually make a shot. Joseph brings nothing and bricks.

Splitter is starting to look like a legit threat from the center spot too. Belinelli > Neal. Too bad they are one year late in these moves.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned in this thread that the Nuggets first pick in 2014 will be the higher one between theirs and one New York Knickerbockers basketball club, via the Melo trade (the lower goes to Orlando). The Knickerbockers have started out their season a clean 3-13, and the draft pick is totally unprotected. They probably won't stay this bad all season, but if they do... just imagine if the Knicks won the draft lottery or even finished bottom 5...
