You realize those two guys could best be described politically as "centrists," right? If those guys are liberal, then liberal doesn't mean anything anymore.

The President always seems "centrist" to his party's supporters. Not much would change if it were Hillary, McCain, or Romney. They would all play the same role as well as Obama or Bush. Obama was one of the top ten most liberal senators during his senate career. Proof is in the voting record.

No, I don't think he realizes this.

That's how skewed his political compass is.

The Senate and the presidency are two different animals. American history is full of politicians whose stripes changed dramatically once they got the top spot. Obama went from community organizer to golf buddy of the rich and famous. He is a great communicator who has nothing much to say. Look at this health care fiasco. Was he even aware of what was happening? Like Clinton, you wonder if his primary drive wasn't simply to become a member of the most elite country clubs?

I laugh when I think of it. It's a matter of fortitude. Guts, in other words. TR went toe to toe with JP Morgan, and won. JP would have picked his teeth with Obama's bones.

It means gov't dictating a money scheme couched in health care which can never work or serve in the way it was presented by the president and every single Democrat that supported it but did not read it. This is all crap we've warned about since the Democrats locked out Repubs, ignored their objections, and rammed it up the American people's arse.

And today, Obama's gonna propose fixes? Here's what the fix will be--' I've decided to allow fly-by-night ripoff artists to keep offering the crappy plans you idiots seem to like for some reason.'

He will vaporize the very foundation of the law that he ramrodded through, tacitly admitting he was wrong. Uninformed Americans will cheer and hold no one accountable.

Or he'll implicitly acknowledge that his "Affordable Care Act" made most people's coverage more expensive by saying the Gummint should cut everyone checks (financed once again by mortgaging the grandkids' future) for the difference.

Amazing how a president can just wave his hand and make parts of Obamacare disappear. Especially after it's become clear that this is what was SUPPOSED to happen under their plan. This was an intended consequence, not an oopsie moment. Of course, when he now says we'll be able to get our plans back, he's lying again. That train has sailed.

This is Health Insurers' Lando Calrissian moment, when they finally realize how thoroughly they effed themselves by doing a deal with the Empire.

Another classic Obama pivot.

Last week: I just saved you uneducated rubes from your junk policy.

Today: I just saved you peasants from unfair cancellations.

Wow, Obama is not gonna NOT enforce his own friggin' law. This will not look good on a resume, King O.

Obama: "Insurers can extend plans that would otherwise have been canceled through 2014"

Wonder if this moron told the insurers about it. So the WHOLE reason for the Dems' part in the gov't shutdown--that they would not make GOP requested changes to Obamacare--is now what the President is unilaterally enacting.

Anyone wanna bet he claims he knew nothing about any of this?

Gonna be tough to sell that.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapoth...der-obamacare/

Quote:
“The Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013,” wrote the administration on page 34,552 of the Register. All in all, more than half of employer-sponsored plans will lose their “grandfather status” and become illegal. According to the Congressional Budget Office, 156 million Americans—more than half the population—was covered by employer-sponsored insurance in 2013.

Another 25 million people, according to the CBO, have “nongroup and other” forms of insurance; that is to say, they participate in the market for individually-purchased insurance. In this market, the administration projected that “40 to 67 percent” of individually-purchased plans would lose their Obamacare-sanctioned “grandfather status” and become illegal, solely due to the fact that there is a high turnover of participants and insurance arrangements in this market.
They predicted it in advance, and now want to pretend like they don't know what's happening.

Disgusting.

Some of you guys are funny, re-writing facts as you go, trying to squeeze bull**** into the partisan narrative.

The Gov shutdown was a Tea Party led stupidity, many in the GOP and their supporters have rightly distanced themselves from it.

Do you watch anything but FOX?

OK, Brit, whatever. The line to apologize to Ted Cruz starts over there.

One of my patients called yesterday, desperately, asking if I would make some calls to get him into an Ophthalmologist here... I asked him if it was serious, he said no just some early cataracts.. he went on to tell me he had to do this by 12/31 because Obamacare will more than likely not pay for trip to an Ophtahlmolgist anymore... I asked him did he gets specific notice about this?... he said no, but basically all specialists will be cut out with Obamacare...

- now that was an awesome call. the best part is he was worried about his "spot" in our health system.. I told him most people of means are making large contribution to the hospital foundation to secure thier "spot" so to speak.. I just heard he committed to a 1M+ give over the next 4 years....

- Do I feel bad? Maybe a little... but that money will go a long way to helping keep programs alive here, and if someone want to be a moron, who I am I to tell them otherwise.. Million + for access to my cell phone for help, when I would have done it anyway, quite the deal....

Panic and Fear- such a great fundraising tool... and its not partisan, my liberal and conservative Richie Richs are coming out of the woodwork all over the place...

For shutting down the Gov to get his way?

I have no time for idiots like Cruz, who put ideology before country and nor should you.

Partisan politics are what's crippling this country....as if incompetence weren't enough.
