Maybe not, but the pressure has clearly improved significantly.

Pressure was good yesterday and there were plays to be made against the D that RG3 blew. There was an improvement but there will be plays to be made all year by the opposing team.

that's pretty much what pressure does though, right? Force the QB to not make plays that are available.

IMO, the improvements so far are indicative of a team that is getting really good pressure but failing to close the deal and get the sack. We are a step away from there, I feel like Von isn't yet into form. Hopefully he can take advantage of practicing with the team over the next few weeks and unleash fury on Rivers.

Yesterday looked like the defense from last year and lets remember if everyone (KC Chefs fans) wants to point to stats Washington came in #4 offense in yardage ( a Shanny trademark but #10 in points)
and Denver gifted them all their TDs and shut their offense down

Could have been a 45-3 game.

Redskins pass-blocking is horrible, and Griffin held onto the ball WAY too long.

.
It can but he missed some throws unpressured. I can think of one where he just didn't see Garcon who was 20 yards behind the D and on the same play Morgan was all alone down the sideline. Another throw he missed Morgan unpressured for what would of been a TD.

Yup and yup. He's not going to last long taking those kinds of shots.

completion %: 60.6, 14th
TD%: 4.4%, 16th
int%: 3.6, 10th
sack%: 6.3%, 21th
QB rating: 87.8, 17th
After 3 games (rankings are where these stats would be if sustained over the whole season):

yards/attempt: 5.9, 1st
completion %: 56.6%, 4th
TD%: 4.7%, 18th
int%: 3.8%, 4th
sack%: 8.5%, 6th
QB rating: 73.9, 4th

Folks, this defense is becoming a top 5 passing D right before our eyes. This marked improvement is not a function of playing back-up QB's either; these numbers are against Luck, RGIII, and Rivers, who has been enjoying a renaissance season so far.

Don't let any KC fools tell you that this defense is impotent - with Von and WW in the line-up, we are a top 5 passing D and a top 5 rushing D.

After 4 games with Von:

yards/attempt: 5.7, 1st
completion %: 53.6%, 1st
TD%: 4.6%, 18th
int%: 2.6%, 20th
sack%: 7.9%, 9th
QB rating: 74.6, 6th

giving up too many TD's and haven't had any picks since the Washington game, but it's good to see domination in ypa and completion percentages.

forgot to update this thread after the KC game...

including both KC and NE, we are as follows (since Von returned):

yards/attempt: 6.0, 3rd
completion %: 57.2%, 4th
TD%: 5.0%, 22nd
int%: 2.0%, 23rd
sack%: 7.5%, 12th
QB rating: 82.9, 14th

this is the point where I mention the sample size is still fairly small, so when Brady rips us a new one, it really moves the needle.

It's worth noting we haven't had a pick since we got 4 vs Washington - that's disturbing. We haven't really been getting sacks at a great clip either.
