Default The Shotgun Snap Fumble

Anyone else notice how Manning was like, "Yeah **** that mess, I'm not going after it." Lol

I also, love this decision by him.

I actually laughed about it the Rev has been pointing out Manny's low snaps all season suggesting it may become a problem at some point Med called this in '09. Hopefully it gets corrected.

He has been coached not to dive at fumbles in the regular season. Ramirez had a few very low snaps during that game, they definitely need to spend a few hours this week snapping the ball over and over again.

Hell yeah. I'd rather a turnover over having Manning jump into that mess trying to cover a damn fumble in week 6.

People are just not watching games close enough I swear. Watch it again people. What you will see is that the snap was low and fast, around PM's shin. PM went low to get it but was starting to already lean backwards to get into his drop back steps. You could see the brace stiffen as he went low to get it and with his backwards momentum, he couldn't leap forward to fall on it. There's no doubt in my mind if he could have just fell on it he would have. Seriously, watch closer and you will see what I'm saying. The devil is in the details people. Please watch the games closer before making posts about things that are false.

That gif should be titled "John Lynch sends the Lombardi to New Orleans."

Against the Jags. In order to ensure a more respectable 3-score victory instead of a mediocre 2-score one.

If people should watch the games closer, than you should listen to the post game pressers better. Manning admitted that he made a conscious decision NOT to go after it.

This is the best thing that ever happened to Drew Brees and for Bronco fans. It got Drew out of San Diego and out of the AFC West. LT, Gates and Brees at his best would have been scary.

Sure, once the ball squirted forward and there were a few players diving after it. If the ball dropped and stayed right there and he could have fell on it instantly before anybody else was there he would have. He's done it before.

But that doesn't change the facts. Watch the tape, you'll see it.

Well, of course he would've done THAT. Nobody is arguing otherwise.

But, ok, I'll be sure to watch the tape and somehow confirm what somebody would do if the ball didn't do what it actually did.

Yes they are arguing otherwise. They're saying it like it was the ball hitting PM in the hands and falling to his feet and him looking at it and saying F that. OMG, can you imagine. That's what you guys are saying. Once players are diving at the ball, of course PM isn't going to jump into the scrum. But all I'm saying is, it wasn't like the ball just fell at his feet and he just said I'm not going for it. Something awkward happened when he bent down to get the snap. His brace looks like it sorta locked on him and he was leaning back and I think he even took an off balance step backwards for a second. By that time the ball moves and people are diving for it.

No, this is what you are saying. Please quote where OP or anyone said that in this thread.

I like this new style of arguing where you argue against something that nobody ever said.

Dude, watch the tape. You will see what would have happened if other things happened.

The OP was vague. It just has a title about the shotgun snap fumble and then him saying PM said F that I'm not going for it. No mention of him not being able to diving on it instantly so therefor I conclude the reason for the post was that he thinks PM just made a decision not to go after a dropped snap, as if he didn't want to. I don't know, it just sounded to me like he was saying it was a foregone conclusion that PM won't attempt to recovery his own fumble.

So, if you want to chalk it up to an OP being to vague, that's fine. All I'm saying is there was a reason why he didn't attempt to recover it more then it being "I'm not going for it".

You made a bad assumption and ran with it. Everyone else in this thread understood OP.

I was at that game with a hot chick...saw Brees the night before at a restaurant. He's a stud and deserved a better team than SD. Look at his QB rating once he left and it tells you volumes about SD Super Chuggs Program. Even 13 INts Ely said 'hellz no daddy' to those super chuggers.

Al Wilson hit LT so hard that game, he gave up by the 3rd quarter.
