Whatever happened to Duncan Siemens? Is that guy just a bust or what? Last I read he was having some attitude problems.

The Avs have been to 2 Stanley cup finals, the Red Wings have been to 24. The Avs have been in the playoffs 21 times, the Red Wings have been in 61 times including the last 22 straight.

If you want to do football comparisons, the Red Wings are like the Cowboys, an old team that has gone to a lot of championships and playoffs. The Avelanche are like the Ravens, they win when they go, but they haven't been in the league that long.

Gylden, I'm hoping your boy Maata looks better today than he looked in the season opener. I know he's still a baby and prolly shouldn't be with the big club quite yet but with Letang out for a couple weeks we need him to step up.

Maata looked so much better tonight. Silky smooth. We also played alot better as a team than against NJ. BUF looks awful.

Glad to be 2-0 but they need Neal back. Jokinen is ruining all the chances Geno creates.

He's fine, still developing. He's not a scorer(more Adam Foote stay at home type) so he won't be brought up until he's fully developed.
He had his captaincy stripped awhile back with the Blades but after that he matured and has been very good.

The problem with the Avs was Pierre Lacroix. He was great at operating in a non capped NHL. He could trade away guys and fill holes that he couldn't fill in FA.
He never had to truly build a team with constraints and once the cap era came into play he didn't adjust well.
The Wings have been good in all eras of the game and done extremely well.
I still hate the **** out of them but I give them their proper respect.

That said... Once the Avs get back on track with our young talent we will be roasting those b****es when we get the opportunity to play them.

If you're my age or older you'll remember going to see the Colorado Rockies play in McNichols arena. Some of my friends in Colorado still root for the Devils because of that.

They won in 2008. They've won two in 11 years.

4 since 1997.

The Red Wings have been no question the best team league the last two decades. It pains me to say it as an Avs fan, but it's the truth.

I wouldn't quite say all eras lol. The "Dead Wings" were pretty terrible. Over all though, they're one of the more successful organizations in sports.

In his defense, he said best team in the last 20, not best team in the last 3.

How the **** do you make that claim with a straight face? The blackhawks have missed the playoffs 9 times and made it 11 times in the last 20 seasons. The Red Wings have made the playoffs all 20 times. The Red Wings have won 4 cups and been to 6 Stanley cup finals in the last 20 seasons, the Blackhawks have won 2 finals and been to 2 finals total. I am sorry dude, but you need to move to an area with less mercury in the water.

The Habs are clearly the best team if you count all eras and it is not even close. They have never missed the playoffs for more than 3 straight seasons. They have own at least 1 Stanley cup in every decade except the 00's. They won 5 consecutive cups in the 50s, 7 cups in 10 years in the 60s and early 70s, 4 consecutive cups in the late 70s.
