I could have sworn you were for cancer.

Yellow penalty flags will be back next weekend.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora said in an email to USA TODAY Sports on Monday the pink penalty flags used over the weekend as part of the league's breast cancer awareness initiative won't be used again in Week 6.

The league's initial release on the initiative, which continues through Week 7, didn't specify whether pink flags would stay for the duration. But the flags caused enough confusion on TV broadcasts, when coupled with players' pink equipment, it made sense to go back to yellow.

Jim Bob Cooter: Now, you know it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or... well, like Brock, for example, has thirty seven pieces of pink, okay. And a terrific smile.

Peyton: Okay. So you... you want me to wear more?

Jim Bob Cooter: Look. Peyton.

Peyton: Yeah.

Jim Bob Cooter: People can get football anywhere, okay? They come to the Broncos for the atmosphere and the attitude. Okay? That's what the pink's about. It's about fun.

Peyton: Yeah. Okay. So more then, yeah?

Jim Bob Cooter: Look, we want you to express yourself, okay? Now if you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some people choose to wear more and we encourage that, okay? You do want to express yourself, don't you?

Peyton: Yeah, yeah.

Jim Bob Cooter: Okay. Great. Great. That's all I ask.

....

Peyton: You know what, Jim, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of pink, like your pretty boy over there, Brock, why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of pink?

Jim Bob Cooter: Well, I thought I remembered you saying that you wanted to express yourself.

Peyton: Yeah. You know what, yeah, I do. I do want to express myself, okay. And I don't need 37 pieces of pink to do it.

Very little being said except on radio this morning. But every game had some sort of confusion arise out of it.

I'm cool with all of that. The pink shoes, gloves, towels and so forth. But cmon, the refs flags should be left yellow. Bringing awareness is fine but that was going overboard IMO. Red challenge flags should be left red, refs penalty flags kept yellow. Have fun with your pink but those 2 things should be left unchanged.

How Breast Cancer Won the Battle for October

http://nymag.com/thecut/2013/10/how-...r-october.html

Breast cancer is, as many critics have pointed out, the perfect issue for corporate-funded cause marketing. Itís got an unambiguous villain (CANCER) and a natural constituency (women). Saving boobies is a friendly cause that everyone ó even frat boys and NFL players ó can get behind. A straightforward health issue.
