Wow, just wow:

http://espncleveland.com/common/more...&post_id=23881

I'd be livid if I was Cleveland, and don't think I wouldn't let the Green Bay front office know how I feel about their non-disclosure of this injury.

Well that's why they have the physical. They could have failed him and ended the trade ala Al Wilson.

I guess Cleveland didn't give him a physical first, before signing him? If that's the case then they are the idiots. However, I'm not sure what the rules are when signing a player off another teams practice squad.

Tavarres King was packing up his locker in what appeared to be a move to GB when the Broncos stepped in, right? So maybe teams sign first and the do the physical?

I don't think you can give a physical to someone on another team's practice squad. I think that teams have to offer the player a contract first. This wasn't a trade scenario, like was mentioned about Al Wilson. That was a trade, this is a practice squad signing.

Totally different.

I'm kinda interested in how Shanny is handling the Washington offense. They've been behind in every single game, often by double-digits, but Shanny refuses to go hurry-up. Just the plodding clock using standard offense.

Ah ok. So was he running around for the scout team on a bum knee this whole time?

Honestly, would it shock you if he was? The NFL is tough. A practice squad player may try to fight through injuries and it may have been a minor tear. (Phillip Rivers played in the AFC Championship game that way)

If that player admits he's hurting, they find out his knee is jacked, and then they put him IR, let him heal, and cut him.

nah, I think the player is under the care of the team so it's best if he lets the team doctors examine him so he can get the surgery done right away. Either that or the team has to pay out a big insurance payment if they release him without fixing his knee first, right?

Yeah who knows. I'm just trying to formulate how a player could be practicing for a team with a torn ACL without anyone fixing or noticing it.

I'm have no idea how the whole thing went down so I really don't know how Cleveland would have been blindsided by this. Just thinking out loud

Exactly....Jack Youngblood played the 1979 NFC title game with a broken leg.

In Arrowhead though, man that place is going to be rough.
That is partially why I said it. Keenum would be the perfect QB to potentially west coast dink and dunk their D to death. Yates hasn't progressed enough and Schaub just can't get it done.

kFc is catching a lot of breaks this year, 1st they get INT machine Fitzgerald instead of Locker vs Tenn and now they get to face another backup who just so happens to be starting his 1st game.

They did say on NFL live that Keenum has shown flashes in the PS and in practice but going to a team on a roll at home is going to be tough.

What is weird is why does green bay have a guy on their practice squad with a torn acl? Wouldn't you fix him early so you could see what he has next year?

He would be paid during that time and the injury would be repaired allowing him to fully play again.

Wade is an average head coach...but is an exceptional DC.

My prayers go out to his family....RIP Bum!

I'm going to laugh my ass off if Keenum goes off like in his Houston Cougars days. I'm not predicting it by any means, but stranger things have happened.
