Yes but how do we get him some defensive snaps? He'd be a great safety decoy.

Leave him on special teams. It's beautiful to be able to watch a decent return game after all those years of Shanny's inept special teams.

I remember always wishing we had a guy like Hester, someone that very literally has a solid chance of taking it to the house if he touches it.

Thanks Houston.

I really wish the stadium would start singing this when he's back ready to return kickoffs and punts. Would be funny and chilling like the soccer stadiums in England.

On ESPN they said that there is a "Holliday Package" in the offense that hasn't been unveiled yet. Not sayin' its a great idea it's just what I heard.

This kinda existed last year, right? It wouldnt be a bad idea to unleash it once or twice a season.

@wingoz
How is Denver scoring so many points? This helps: The Broncos have 3 special teams TDs so far the rest of the NFL has 4. #statoftheday

There wouldn't be a package for it unless #18 approved it.

So, with that said....

Thank you Houston. For cutting our shiny special teams weapon.
He has some knuckle headed moments but his brilliant ones far outweigh them.

It is crazy how awful Shanny is at building defense and special teams. Denver's ST has been pretty good on returns since he left and great since Houston gifted us Holiday.

Thank ourselves for sputtering enough at the time so he is here and not in Indy

Only "Holiday Package" I want to hear is when they plan for some free time in NY at the beginning of February.

He's off to a good start. With six special teams touchdowns in his first 21 games, he ranks first in NFL history with 1 TD every 3.5 career games played.

And he has never been on the losing side of a regular season game.

If you'll remember correctly, Shanny dislikes having players on ST who can't play another position. He considers it somewhat of a wasted roster spot.
I can't remember the CB's name but years ago we cut him even though he was great of returns in the pre-season because he wasn't a good CB.

I think he wore #25 and was named Ben something.

Until about two weeks ago, I had no idea that song was sung by Lindsey Buckingham; and I am about as big of a Fleetwood Mac fan as I am a Bronco fan!

c'mon, really? Shanny drafted and picked up through FA some kick returners. during our SB, we had Darien Gordan. Shanny also drafted Kasper and that guy that went to the Giants who had a pretty good career. How often does a Hester or Cribs become available?

and how has Denvers ST been good since Shanny left? McDaniels didn't do anything. Fox got lucky when Houston released Holiday. Its not like Holiday was an unknown talent, he had already returned two for a TD.

Kasper Kasper's name was just mentioned more than it has been in the past 10 years. Hixon went to NYG and had a pretty good stint but that just shows Shanny's inabilty to utilize and develope him.

There were 3 return TD's under McDaniels and the SD game on monday night was won with Royal returns. Sorry but did you watch that game?

I'd be willing to bet that he didn't have 2 TD's prior to coming to Denver. When did he have those in the regular season? While Denver did get lucky Holliday did go through a waiver process and Denver landed him. I'll bet if you pull up old posts here 90 percent of the board would of cut him after his first game as a Bronco. I'll bet the standard response was now we know why Houston cut him.

shanny made an attempt at kasper, so it was a fail. hixon was a good pick up, i forgot what happened to him and why we released him.

you wanna give shanny credit for darien gordon? no?

i have trouble remember what i ate for dinner last night and you are asking me about something 5 yrs ago? but thanks, forgot about royal. thanks for proving my point. did mcd draft royal or was it shanny? why don't you give credit to shanny for that. or was it because of mcd ST scheme that got royal those td's? lol

how much you willing to bet? he had two td returns for houston in the preseason

http://www.houstontexans.com/news/ar...a-3ee6a631e196

i love how some people thinks that hester and cribs are available in every draft and denver specifically shanny doesn't want to draft them. Kubiak is kicking himself in the arse right now. He had Holiday and let him go. sometimes your lucky sometimes your not. lets not put the blame on one coach and give credit to others when it isn't there.

hixon never had a decent career with the giants. We thought we could sneak him on the PS or something. Giants nabbed him.

He had 1 run back with the giants. As many as omar bolden has had for us. He had a few catches like todd devoe did and won a SB ring because of the team he played for. He has done next to nothing.

darion gordon, chris watson, rod smith, darrent williams, eddie royal, eric decker, DT, Jim leanorhd, trindon MF holliday
