Pryor is not quite very good yet and he still had time to make plays in the passing game and had several open players available even if he missed a bunch early with poor throws.

Sure, losing Carter and Nacho hurt in the second half, but Adams and Moore had major communication issues and Trevathan got beat several times in man by the TE Rivera on blitzes.

I guess your definition of regular basis may be different than mine here, but not enough plays are being made in the passing game to call them nasty right now...
That's laughable. We're coming off a game where the DL won so consistently and battered Eli around all game that we walked away with 4 picks... oh also because our DBs are winning their match-ups too.

Please, Eli as much stated he was pressing and threw three of those into double or triple coverage! Did you watch CAR rape the Giants this weekend, that defense was nasty to the Giants, way more than giving up a first pass of 51 yards due to safety communication errors.

The DB's have played well, but they also committed a bunch of fouls when they got beat against NYG as well covering up in yards how they got beat too...

15 different defenders (of 22 active) had at least a pressure on Eli Manning and we had 4 interceptions.

These are facts. There is nothing to debate here.

Just going to ask it...

Are we better off without Champ? He looked busted in last year's PO game per the extensive video footage.

Maybe his injury is a blessing as we have a new #1 and the next men up have had a chance to find. We have found our CBOF this year IMO.

I was told here that MLB is not that big of a deal and we can throw anyone in at Mike. I wonder if that still holds water with some around here.

BTW, we are not nasty but we are a very good unit. Nasty plays have happened but to me "Smash Mouth" football is nasty. Von Miller will help us become nasty in due time.

Well, it was the very last game and he is not getting any younger. Add the injury to his foot and it is a fair question in those circumstances.

No he makes us better. And his leadership is needed for a young group.

Asking if Champ is ever going to be the same dominant player he was. Might be a legitimate question. Asking if Denver is better off without Champ is bordering on lunacy.

Yes, we need Champ on this defense. Hopefully his injury won't slow him further down.

After Champ starts playing again that question will answer itself. The injury
he has is tough to figure, but if he doesn't fully heal he could end up being more of a liability then anyone expects.

He still has the knowledge and experience that have helped make him special. But physical ability is also a primary requirement to any player. Healing takes longer the older you are, and Champ is no spring chicken ( by NFL standards). I have no doubt that Champ will still contribute to the Defense. But as to whether he will contribute at a #1 CB level is a legitimate question.

That has yet to be seen but the original poster stated that after seeing his performance in the AFC Championship game maybe Denver would be better off without him. I agree this injury could depress Bailey's performance this year. But Bailey was a formidable player in every game last year but one and to suggest he is washed up because of that one game is harebrained.

What game are you watching? He has hardly played any meaningful snaps. They throw him when the game is well out of reach
