Breaking news! Oklahoma State picks up a big ass 6'4" 350lb interior lineman. Zack Hargrove transfers from Missouri S&T and will redshirt this year. Next year, the Big 12 better take notice...

Hawaii 5 USC 3 Bottom of the 5th

Roh must be disgusted.

USC has semi stabilized but still look weak on offense. 20-5.

This is your typical ESPN headline promoting a player they've been hyping as a Heisman hopeful:

Jadeveon Clowney, No. 6 South Carolina cruise past UNC in opener

You'd think with that headline that Clowney must have taken over the game and been a disruptive force for four quarters.

I know Jadeveon Clowney is a stud....ESPN has been reminding us every 30 seconds in the off chance we forget, but they probably shouldn't feature him in the headline of the game summary when he had 3 tackles and was gassed for much of the game:

Clowney did not have a sack and finished with three first-half tackles. The Tar Heels' fast-paced offense wore him down and forced him to the sideline for several pit stops, yet he and the defense mostly hemmed in North Carolina. Shaw and Thompson put South Carolina up 17-0 in the opening quarter.

ESPN should probably just replay and mix in the infamous hit he had on Michigan's Vincent Smith several times in the North Carolina/South Carolina game highlights lest we forget what a force of nature he is.

Like I said, I know he's a stud freak, but ESPN has been blow banging him non stop lately.

I mean, seriously, no college athlete is going to spend hours signing stuff and NOT receive money for doing it. However, there was probably really no clear evidence against Manziel other than the buttload of auto's on the market and some claims from dealers/brokers second hand.

Honestly though, I have a feeling A&M and Manziel have a crash this season. Something just feels off this year with him, and he's going to have a down year resulting in A&M going down.
The guy is circling the drain as it is. He's about to fall apart mentally. I just hope it's this year so he doesn't get an insane fortune to cry himself to sleep with at night. A horribly disappointing year would be a fantastic catalyst to his meltdown and exposure.

Let's put it this way: The players can play better than the coach can coach.

I'm going to try to get into college football this year beyond watching bowl games. Not sure whether to keep it in state and go for the buffs. They really suck, I kinda like that.

Come on Stacy. You dropped 2 TDs so far. And Perryman dropped a pick six. Should be 21-0.

Frustrated that the score isn't reflecting reality. Catch the ****ing ball!

55 yd TD by the Duke. 130 yards rushing...early in the 2nd. Like to see him hit 200 before they rest him for the night.

20-3 at the half. They left 18 points on the field but they are dominating play. Just clean up the dropped passes and dropped pick. Defense looks good and the Duke kicking ass as usual with 156 at the half on 12 carries.

Damn Duke Johnson is good. If we could only get a player like him on the Broncos for our offense. Not that I don't have faith in Montee doing well. But I love home run backs.

Stop being so sloppy offense. A little too much rust for my liking. Get it in gear.

Miami 34 FAU 6.

Rashawn Scott I think broke his collarbone. Thankfully we are deep at WR. Defense played well, offense was very sloppy. Look forward to seeing Deon Bush in the lineup next week. They need to clean up alot of stuff to beat Florida. Right now they would lose by about 7-10. Need to be much more efficient on offense. Only the Duke showed up tonight...had a scare but is ok. Effort I saw tonight will not win next week. Morris was too sloppy and OL needs to be better in SY. I can see why Feliciano is ahead of Seantrel. Offense disappointed me tonight outside of Duke and Waters. They really didn't play well.

I liked what i saw from the D. Really liked AQM and Figatron. DTs were good. Tracy was a shutdown corner. Antonio Crawford needs some work. Liked the DL. Perryman didn't play well. Artie flashin a little late. Rodgers wasn't bad which is a big improvement for him.

Stacy Coley should have had 2 TD.....youngster is the most talented WR...but nervous in his first game with the drops. Dorsett didn't have it tonight.

I'm going with 9-3 this season. Losses to FSU, UF and one more game (maybe at UNC).

I think you will win next week, 24.

Holy ****...NDSU just took the lead again very late at KSU.

Get Crushaholic off the ledge.

NDSU 24 KSU 21.

28 seconds left.

Bison win. Req is rubbing himself raw.

Prime gator bait!

The "scary" offense looked very sloppy to me and gators D will be too much for the Canes to beat. I'm hoping for a blowout, run them out of the stadium!

It's not going to be a blowout. But unless there is alot of improvement, I think it's like 26-19, Florida.

Duke will go over 100 yards and he will abuse UFs linebackers but Morris sloppiness will result in some INT. UF secondary will eat Dorsett and Hurns for lunch. I think Coley and Waters could make big plays on them...but Coley needs to hold onto the ball. I expect alot of throws to the TEs....especially Sandland. Our OL was not great tonight. They will have trouble with UF DTs.

Miami defense will be okay against UF offense. UF OL is decimated. Quan will get pressure. They'll get some points but I think some of what UF will score will be because of UM turnovers by Morris.

Duke will need to put the team on his back and have a career day to win. He can do that....he'll be the best player on the field for either team....even better than Purifoy for UF....but UF has more depth at more spots.

One positive is Deon Bush should be healthy enough to go next week.

Didn't have a chance to post how pleased I was with Mike MacIntyre's debut with the Buffs. I think Connor Wood is the real deal. So are Paul Richardson and DD Goodson. Nelson Spruce was a nice surprise. So is the freshman kicker. On D, Addison Gilliam had an amazing game at OLB for a freshman. All in all an impressive kick off game for a totally new team with a new coaching staff. Obviously, they have as many holes as a swiss cheese and will get face washed by any of the top 25 teams, but it was a much better debut than I expected.
