I think Chris Harris has become as good as Champ has been the past couple of seasons....but he's certainly not where Champ use to be when he was the best defender in the NFL.....good thing we've got a plethora of good DB's.

One of these days, he's going to switch to safety. Maybe this year, maybe not.

It is odd that they've basically been saying for four weeks now that he's almost ready. So he's either not progressing as they keep expecting or they're lying. Since I see no reason for the latter, one would assume it's the former.

At this point I wouldn't expect we'll see him until after the bye. But if he misses the whole year, or comes back and doesn't make it through a game, I won't be surprised.

We have the luxury of not having to rush him back. So let's not. Season don't start til January for us.

It's not Champ that has me concerned, it's Baja. Guy hasn't posted since the season began. Wonder what happened? Aliens? Black helicopters? Sea monster?

With Duke and Rahim? The only future I see for Champ is either a #2 (since Harris is so good at slot and we prob keep DRC as #1) or a nickle man.

This. I'm guessing Champ could play right now, if it was necessary, but since it's not, they want to get him to 100% and keep him fresh for the second half of the season and playoffs.

If he is not 100% keep him inactive past the bye week. A non-conference game on the road is not exactly do or die.

Follow the money on Champ. What is it, $9 million for next season? Enjoy him while you can, i think this is his last season here.

You won't see Champ until we need him. Our young guys have been excellent and why bring Champ back when he can sit and rest. You don't need him right now so why risk playing him. All you really want is for him to be healthy come playoff time and maybe the month prior to that to get into the flow of things. I also think you won't see much of him until after the bye week.

I could see him retiring if he can go out on top. He's already solidified his place in the NFL and also in the Broncos ring of fame.
