Yes because we all know that a good running back is expected to break those tackles from those pesky defenders that get to him the same time the hand off does.

No one is mistaking Manny for an all-pro, but he is far, far from bad.
He had one bad holding penalty on a stretch play to the left in which he got owned. And I remember a Hillman run up the middle where he looked terrible attempting to get to the second level and the backer (bowman I believe) ran right around him. Ramirez will never be a force in the run game like lilja is. That guy gets stuck on second level defenders like glue.

2 plays you say, then? Burn him!

Pass. I saw what happened after Khaleesi walked in the fire. We have no idea what Manny may be hiding in his pockets.

I'm now picturing Manny crouched naked with 3 freshly hatched baby dragons climbing around him

Manny has steadily improved every game since last year. He is new to Center and actually looks solid. I think people need to Rewatch and stare at him, they will be surprised.

OL and DL look great. We just need to get/stay healthy and roll through the next 16 preseason games.
wrong

I was pissed at him in the Seahag game because he quit on plays and didn't play to the whistle especially on the fumble in the endzone. He also double teamed a DT but didn't look around and protect his gap on a pass pro in the same game. I didn't see the same type of things in the Rams game.

I still think he is a better run blocker than pass protector.

It's the little known Ryan Clady effect. He makes everyone on the line look better. Hell Gene could brake off 420,388,320 yards with a roll of duct tape and a dusty ball cap running behind this line, as long as Clady is maning the Left.

I guess I should clarify for you non-nerds that Genes monstrous yard total is the distance to the moon.

Just rewatched the first quarter

Some observations (and crow for that game anyway )

1) Ramirez had a solid game, but not great (he missed a line call, might have been Peyton, but I'll blame the center).
2) Vazquez missed two LB pickups (1 run 1 pass)
3) Clady is awesome
4) Franklin is solid
5) Beadles missed a LB pickup on a run, but was solid otherwise
6) Thomas missed a couple of blocks
