so basically he just had a typo and put an R instead of the L that he meant to have in front of RB/LB

Hopefully Ball catches onto the blocking scheme quickly. Whoever's in there it better not be Lance Ball... cant stand the 2 yards and fall running style.

Not a bit surprised by that. It's why alot of people were high on CJ. At least he could break a tackle.

Yup. And yet a lot of people act like I'm being controversial by suggesting that Hillman and Ball have been mediocre and disappointing thus far this pre-season.

Well Hillman will never be great at breaking tackles. He's not that type of runner. Charles doesn't break many tackles either. Those are space runners, home run hitters. If you open up a nice lane, those runners turn that stuff into 30+ yard runs. They're not grind it out runners. Ball may not be impressing so much right now but we should give this guy a little time. And let's remember, our OL has been make shift at best early on. When we get some guys back in there, those lanes should open up better. Not to mention we are now also running some different schemes (zone) and that's another adjustment. Just be patient everybody. Especially once regular season comes and we've got Clady in there, Manning playing all 4 quarters with our studly WR sets. Lanes WILL open up.

Breaking some tackles is important but if you'r relying on it for a good run game, it's not going to be pretty. There has to be better lanes. There has to be more room. We'll get there.

As I've stated numerous times I'm not writing him off or anything close. But by all appearances the Broncos don't think he's ready to be "the guy" as they're giving Hillman every chance to win the job. If you're excited right now about a Hillman/Ball duo leading us into the season against the Ravens then you're a lot more optimistic than I am.

Wow, the expectations of a running back sure have skyrocketed these days. You have 15 carries to show that you're the next AP I guess.

Get on it Ball - you have 4 more carries to improve the 4.7 ypc you had against Seattle.

I have faith.

I'd rather see him improve his pass blocking so PFM doesn't get planted again

I don't think that hoping that he'd beat out Hillman is really asking all that much, is it?

I would rather see Goodell enforce the Manning/Brady rule and summarily execute anyone who touches our QB.

Yeah but Tony, give it some time man! Geez Hillman is a second year RB and was much more lost at this time last year than Ball is now.

Its not the running they are holding Ball back for its learning all the Pass protection which is a hard thing with a complex offense like ours for a college RB. Lets see how hes doing by the time Von comes back.

We may struggle a little the first 5 to 6 games but I bet we still are at worst 3-3 when Von, Champ and all are fully back and everyone is in sync by then and we tear up the league the rest of the way.

Ball may be just what they thought he was and a solid RB for us for much of this season allowing Hillman to assume the role he is best suited for as well as a change of pace back.

Time will tell, but getting all bent out of shape now is going WAY over the deep end at this point and could be setting you up for some serious Crow eating later in the year.

I wonder if Klis understands the definition of "couple."

As of today, we're at ten days. Any way you define it, "couple" is less than ten.

Klis meant a couple of days on Venus. A day on Venus is 243 Earth days. I still think Kils is right on, but we will just have to wait a couple of Earth years to be sure.

We're covering the planets/former planets on the Mane today. In the last few minutes, we've hit Mercury, Venus, and your anus!

I think some guys in the broncos organization get a kick out of feeding Klis bad info and then laughing when he reports it.
