No one notable, imo.

We've already invested so much at the position, time to allot for some ROI.

Is this an indication that they aren't satisfied with how their running backs have been performing in camp?

What this means if its Willis:

Either CJ Anderson was being counted on as an important contributor before his injury, or none of our current rbs are showing the ability to do what Willis does best and that is get tough yards and move forward after contact.

Fumbles aside, im definitely on board with signing Mcgahee.

I would gladly take McGahee back
But only has a short yardage and goaline back

Dont trust him at all to get significant touches without coughing it up

Short yardage and goal line aren't significant?

I meant only give him a handful of carries a game at most
And in just those situations

I'd love to have Willis back. Loved his Mile High Salutes and I think he was the best RB on the roster when they cut him.

Clearly, and with good reason. Problem is, I don't see where a street RB fits on the roster. Hillman and Ball are locks, and Moreno is the only guy who appears to know how to pass block. C.J. Anderson might get stolen if you try to practice squad him. So does that mean they'd cut Moreno?

What's Tim Hightower doing nowadays? Beanie Wells? Kevin Smith? Brandon Jacobs?

This news doesn't surprise me. Two games into the preseason, the only RB who's looked good (Anderson) is hurt and may be headed to injured reserve.

A little concerning that the current FO has used a 3rd rounder and 2nd rounder on RBs the past two drafts and, although it's too early to make remotely definitive conclusions about either of them (particularly on Ball), they're stuck digging through the trash bin for a RB...

I used to think running backs were a dime a dozen then Mike Shanahan left town.

what an underwhelming list. The RBs in house need to get it done.
maybe just a camp body though
