Well thats a relief. All we need is michael to rock and roll and people will start whining about how we took ball over michael and the world is ending.

Good news is Turbin is no slouch either. So he will give our backups a real good test as well. I like.

Ever since he pocketed those two time outs with 30 seconds left in last year's play-off game against the Ravens, I've lost confidence in him to make the gutsy call when it matters the most.

Last week during our first pre-season game, he declined to have the started go out a second time. This first pre-season game was supposed to only have the starters play one serie, I get that, however, it seems like I wasn't the only one who felt at the time that we should've gone out one more time.
The game really didn't help our offense acomplish anything, or the whole team for that matter.
Again, the Fox factor reared his ugly head.
The guy has now a top NFL defense and one of the most potent offenses in the NFL and the guy seems to be way too conservative to run a team equipped with the weapons he has, time for somebody to remind him these are not his Carolina Panthers!

Disclaimer: I'm not a Fox basher, I don't hate the guy, in fact I like him as a coach, but all of the sudden I've started to question his thinking under pressure.
Hopefully he can knock me out of my line of thinking here...
Do you really think one drive in the pre-season is going to make a lick of difference in our run for the super bowl?

Wow, I like how things can quickly derail.
No, I don't think one drive in the pre-season is going to make a lick of a difference. That was hardly my point. Go and read my post again and see if you can figure out what my main concern/point was.

We have a new RB, and a key new player in Wes Walker and would've been nice to see them work their timing and chemistry a bit more.
Heck, even the players said after the game they wanted to go out one more time...
That's all I wanted to point out...
And yeah, it's pre-season. I get that
They left the starting O-line out there much longer. They're the one's who need more time.

And Wes Walker is pretty good. Even David Burton has trouble covering him.

Manning didn't need to go back out there.

I'd already seen enough of Aldon Smith on Chris Clark during that series.

Ok. One more time...
The point I wanted to make was about Fox decision making that has started to be somewhat of a concern.
Perhaps I picked a wrong example to illustrate my point, but for now, let's sit down and enjoy the season. Hopefully we wouldn't have to talk about Fox's decision making down the road, if that happens, we can discuss it later.
You all have a good one...

Strafen, get back in there. Your time with the first string isn't done yet.

To be fair the Starters played the first Quarter, its just the 9ers drives were so long they are up most of the quarter.

Starters expected to play the whole first half
Hope so. Be fun if both teams play their starters the whole first half
