He's the best insurance policy at RB we have right now and given his meager salary he won't be going anywhere

You guys can hate all you want, he sucks. But he presents a good value position-wise

Hester makes the roster because he can play rb/fb, pass protect, and play ST. Both Lance and CJ will not make the team, or possible either. IMO Lance has the edge right now because hes vesatile and can play ST. CJs really gonna have to ball out to make the final cut. Hes still a long shot at this point.

It's not fair to say he sucks, he doesn't suck. Maybe you can make a case for injury prone but even that would be a weak case.

After watching the replay on NFL Channel, I think he deserve some time with the 1st team offense next week. He fits the profile of back like Rice or Jones-Drew, which is good fit in ZBS.

I can definitely see a situation where both of McDaniels' first round picks are cut this year. KM replaced my an UDFA, and Ayers being replaced by late round picks Jackson/Smith.

I disagree mostly because I don't see the team replacing its best run-blocking and pass-catching RB with 2 rookies and an unproven 2nd-year RB.

Waivers? CJ needs to start. He looked 10 times better than any RB last night. Just another level.

Oh, he's worth it. He had moves last night that Ball and Hillman wish they had. Very impressive!

That's because he reminds people of Ed McCaffery.

We also throw good players under the bus at the drop of a hat (Rahim Moore).

Not to mention mcd's other two first round picks who are long gone, tebow and Alphonso smith (essentially). Good thing he hit on the DT pick. 1/5

He caught 7 balls last season and fumbled one. Lets not get carried away here.

Moreno will make the roster, but this is literally his last chance.

I think Ayers can develop into something good, but it's taking too long, and Malik Jackson is pushing him for that spot.

Dunno if CJ will make the team or not, But its the same ol same ol for KM. "He didnt have any blocking" "its not his fault". CJ had the same blocking and look at the results. im glad KM finally got it last year and did the practice squad work an everything.. but his first two years as a bronco he was a punk.
Dancing in the endzone-Twice -while we were down like 45 points to the raiders. I know its not his fault we totally wasted a #12 pick on him. but Damn what is his longest run from scrimmage again?

2013 C.J. Anderson=2012 Xavier Omon.

Barring injury, the 2013 RB's will be:

Ronnie Hillman
Monte Ball
Knowshon Moreno
Jacob Hester
Lance Ball

Only way L. Ball stays on that list is if CJ totally sticks at ST.

It will be interesting to see this thread develop over the next 3 preseason games. Does one of our RB's get injured? Does CJ himself develop a phantom injury for stash on IR?

I don't think that the coaches can do anything to protect Lance Ball if he continues to play like ****. That run into the stuffed line (while missing the cutback) was just embarrassing for the whole team. In order to win the Superbowl, we need some spark from the run game. That will be the catalyst that can break our receiving game wide open.

It's time to get rid of Lance Ball, especially if the coaches prefer Hester.

? what stats are you looking at.
Moreno is the team's best pass-catching and pass-blocking RB. I don't think there is much to argue there.

K,M. came on big last year. Everyone was jumping on his train when he hurdled that dude. He has just been hit with the injury bug. It's gotta stop sometime and this could be the year. Manning likes blockers, he is a great blocker and he is a decent pass catcher as well.

Ayers came on strong last year. I think he is going to have a one hell of a year. I think we are going to see great things out of our D line later this season.
