This better be weed and not PED's. I'd hate for Miller to turn out to be a Merriman.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 10m
Broncos LB Von Miller's appeal of 4-game suspension scheduled to be heard Aug. 15, sources tell @Jeff_Legwold and me.

https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter

Mike Klis ‏@MikeKlis 2m
There will be meeting between Von Miller reps and NFL officials next Thursday, according to source. Specifics haven't been determined.

While meeting date between parties has been set, particulars have not yet been formalized. May not be formal appeal hearing.

Still to be determined is whether there will be a formal hearing, a preliminary discussion, or whether Von Miller himself will be present

Man you did the right thing, especially because the titles are different. The mods are good about catching most of these, at least when they are big stories. Just missed one, no big deal!

NFL officials will meet Aug. 15 with representatives of Broncos linebacker Von Miller to discuss his case of an alleged drug violation, according to a league source.

While the date of the meeting between parties has been set, the particulars have not yet been formalized. Still to be determined is whether there will be a formal hearing, a preliminary discussion, or whether Miller will be present.

Miller is facing a four-game suspension for allegedly violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

While some form of hearing will be held Aug. 15, a ruling on Miller's appeal is not expected for several more days. A ruling is expected before the Broncos open the season with a Thursday night, Sept. 5 game against the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens.

According to @mikeklis, Von Miller appeal set for next Thursday. I'm told they're pretty confident he can win it.

"I'm confident about it. Everybody is confident about it," Miller said after the Broncos' preseason opener Thursday night. "I think my situation is different. I'm just looking forward to getting a resolution and getting it out of the way. It's tough enough to play football as it is, let alone when you have all this other stuff going on.

Tim Ryan of Sirius NFL Radio just said he believes there is a 50/50 chance Von gets no suspension at all. He also said that the rumor of a missed test is false.

It has nothing to do with MJ, PED, or a missed test. It had something to do with a fax...

On a side note: Von deleted his Twitter account.

Could be good news. (Nothing bad comes from avoiding social media)

All I know is, if I were Von's attorney I would recommend he not talk about it in the locker room to reporters. The last thing you need is the already heavy handed NFL reading quotes that he is confident he will prevail. They might uphold it just because of that!
