Nothing I said was optimistic. We have a killer offense and a questionable defense. That's the fact of it.

10-2 or 9-3.

Last preseason I said 6-8 wins and we finished with 7. I know this team well.

Defense is another story....
i'll believe it when he does it for a full season. the offense of Miami has been solid on paper since Harris was the QB. still didn't do ****.

Michigan was hoping for big results from its barbecue weekend and on Saturday the coaching staff got the biggest prospect they could have hoped for.

Michigan landed its third commitment for the 2015 class during the event from wide receiver George Campbell (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake) the top athlete and No. 3-ranked prospect overall in the ESPN Junior 300.

I think we are seeing first hand why the NCAA didn't have any freshman win the Heisman before.

Hey DB...looks like we're getting one of your kids....Ernest Suttles. Guess he got into a bar fight and got kicked off Nebraska...we need DEs bad....and his film looks good. Need some help there....although in 2014 I expect Chad Thomas and AQM to be starting....and terrorizing.

He was a getting high praises from coaches from what I heard. He is from Tampa so it makes sense that he would head back there. He was at a party and hit David Santos (Husker LB) in the head with a bottle. Pretty dumb to hit a team member like that. Sucks because Suttles probably would have started for us this year.

they didn't win it before because it was an unwritten rule that you gave it to the most outstanding upperclassman because the underclassmen could potentially win it later.

and there could be another on the way.
in addition to getting Harris at RB who is likely to be the top RB in the country next year.
it's hella fun to be a Michigan fan.

Colorado coach Mike McIntyre announced the signing of the #1 placekicking prospect, and #5 punter.

He's from Mexico City. Coach is getting that Mexican pipeline going.

I agree. Sort of. I think coach McIntyre has the Buffs on the path back toward respectability. Maybe 4-5 wins this season.

Did Manziel get money for autographed stuff? That's what the NCAA wants to know...

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoot...johnny-manziel

Three sources said Manziel signed photographs, footballs, mini football helmets and other items at the request of an autograph broker named Drew Tieman. Two sources, who are aware of the signing arrangement, told "Outside the Lines" that Tieman approached Manziel on Jan. 6 when he landed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to attend the game between Alabama and Notre Dame the next day.

After that meeting, three sources said, Manziel, accompanied by his friend and personal assistant Nathan Fitch, visited Tieman's residence and signed hundreds of items in the main room of the apartment despite the fact that there were many people in the room. Before Manziel left South Florida, after taking in the title game, he signed hundreds of autographs more, one source said.

If Johnny Manziel did in fact do that, he's more of a dumb ass than I thought.

It's one thing if your family is poor and you need some money, but his family is loaded and are already millionaires.

Manziel is beginning to sound like another head case in the Ryan Leaf mold.

Since Texas A &M is now in the SEC I'm sure Manziel will be cleared after the NCAA finds "no evidence of wrongdoing" after a 1 week investigation.

Meanwhile....its been 2 years now and after self imposing 2 bowl games and an ACC championship game and NCAA personnel were fired for misconduct......and we are still not in the clear. Good news is verdict should be coming Thursday or so. I expect somewhere around 9-10 ships total (over three years...so 3 per year) and of course no more bowls.

I agree with evrything said about Miami... Nebraska is in the exact same boat, offense should be great... Just prayin for some defese.

If i have to go through another entire season of Polini not giving two ****s about turnovers and penalties i may need a new big screen. You would think his hard ass attitude and all he might actually run a a disciplined team. Nope.

I'm hearing the NCAA penalties are imminent. There is some face saving going on here. They are trying to hit individual former coaches hard and for about 15 players who refused to cooperate in the investigation...they will be banned from campus or any association for 10 years. There will be vacation of wins most likely which is OK because nothing of substance was accomplished during this whole period from 02-09. They will also tack on a full 5 year probation. All of this to placate the enforcement division sothey can save some face. In exchange...to ensure no further litigation or bad PR from the university itself the sscholarship reductions are expected to be fairly light....ie in the vicinity of 10 total and of course no more bowls since 2 were already self imposed.
