You never want to see a player get injured in camp, but people seem to be forgetting how Koppen got rag-dolled at the point of attack on numerous occasions.
This isn't the end of the world. Kuper, Ramirez, or Blake, will fill in. They have the entire camp and preseason to work on line calls, developing Chemistry with Manning etc.

That's a gross exaggeration man. He's certainly not mistaken for an all-pro, but he's far from terrible.

I think it would be because of 2 guys since we will be on our 3rd string Center now.

Center the new DT problem. Perpetually a revolving door. Should have never traded Myers away, should never have let Pryce leave.

I feel bad for the guy. One day he's ready to hang 'em up, next day he's blowing out his knee after two days of practice. Something tells me he's regretting picking up that phone right about now.

He probably had an injury clause. Now he can rehab and retire.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping Blake or Kuper will do this.
Rameirez has been playing center all off season. Its not like just saying Beadles or Kuper can just switch over there.

This hurts big time. It was already our weakest point on the offense, could be argued the entire team.

Those thinking Ramirez can step in and be serviceable are looking through epic orange tinted glasses. He was awful at guard and now you want to move him to another position and expect him to be average? That's some serious crack.

Center requires a different set of skills than being a guard. Ramirez might be perfect for the position. There are not as many one on one blocks he mostly will tandem block with other guards and help pick up blitzes. But he has to do line calls will do some pulling and have to snap out of the shotgun.

My thought is if Blake cannot step up here when the team needs him then why is he on the team.

There are a lot of 1-1 matchups...it's called a 3-4. Teams will know how to exploit it to ensure he is matched up 1-1.

He was "okay" with help, but he struggled big time in picking up blitzes (uh-oh) and power rushes. That is an awful situation to have at center...especially one with a pocket passer like Manning.

and the fact Blake wasn't our #2 center, doesn't bode well for him either.

hopefully either a vet gets cut or we make a trade for someone. not feeling Ramirez as the starting C with Blake as back up. or visa versa.

He might also blow dick at it. Which is more likely?

Blake is a 27-year old NFL Vet, and can't even step in at 4th string Center.

Talk about a waste of a draft pick.
