Was afraid of a camp injury with Koppen when listening to him on The Drive week before last. He had been working out some but was looking at retirement too so hit wasn't like a full blown off season conditioning program for him ... on the other hand if it is an ACL that can happen to the most fit guy on the team too. Sucks either way

I'm thankful that while other teams are dealing with legitimate injuries, we're losing our **** over center depth.

Not saying I necessarily disagree with you, but Beadles taking a single snap anywhere other than LG would be a massive shock to me.

Think the staff have him locked in there, 100%.

umm ManRam has been splitting reps with the 1s at C so far

Not sure why we need to start trading for Cs all of a sudden

Manning will cover up many of the olines flaws. Hes done it his entire career. If our next center can run block better than koppen can maybe this is a blessing in disguise

Your probably right. But without knowing when Kuper will be back, that's a gamble to assume he can transition to center.

Kuper can play LG as he has done so before.

Beadles could at least get reps at the position, to see if he could fit.

Then you would have 2 guys adjusting to new roles vs 1. What about a guy like Ryan Lilja?

Kuper has played LG..

I'm just saying without knowing when Kuper will be back it's a big risk to assume he can play Center.

There's Free Agent Centers out there.. Not sure if they are good options.

Just some old articles saying how important a Center is in a Manning Offense.

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Sports/...horse-favorite
But essential to his success is a smart center, since centers are generally responsible for calling out protection schemes at the line. Unusually, Manning often changes the protection schemes himself, meaning he will need a center who can keep up with his football mind.

Center

These past few years in Indianapolis, Jeff Saturday anchored that line, we should expect the center to be the foundation once again here in Denver. With a strong center it begins to form the inside room of that pocket that Manning loves. A center who doesn't shift and can hold his ground will allow Manning to step up knowing that he's protected up front.

Now in terms of pre-call, the center is incredible key since they help recognize the defensive front and communicate this around the offense.

Seriously. It's just a bunch of worried fans. Pitta goes down and people here assume Balt will figure it out. Our back up center goes down and we might as well pack it in because we are done

Nope, must freak out now! The ravens won a Super Bowl with a completely reshuffled line. Broncos have plenty if time to figure this out. I'm not concerned

Center is not a position where you just plug in a guard. There are line calls that have to be made and don't forget operating out of the shotgun. Blake or Ramierz need to step up and take the position.

ManRam is George Fosters twin brother. He's a turnstile and he ****ing sucks. I don't want him in the same zip code as the 1s.

Just hope like hell Kuper can step up and do this.

You say that, then mention a guy that played guard all last year as one of the guys that need to step up? Ramirez played guard last year and couldn't block a wet paper bag as it was.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping Blake or Kuper will do this.

We have both Ramirez and Blake. Those two could fill in if needed. Why not take a sniff at FA's to see if there is anyone we can bring in on the cheap for camp sakes anyway. Also...what about Saturday....I'm sure he'd play another year or two for Manning.
