Default Sylvester is about to sign

Lindsay Jones @bylindsayhjones
RT @nuggetsnews: Sylvester Williams just arrived to #Broncos facility (smile on his face)

Mike Klis @MikeKlis
Sylvester Williams walked in. He's going upstairs to sign 4-year, $7.6 million deal. Guarantee of $6.1 million; $3.9 mil to sign.

No long holdouts, that is good

So they must have agreed to a contract in principle. All the Broncos are at camp! I'm actually surprised how Sly's impact isn't really being discussed. I suppose the slow development time at DT is a factor, as is the other issues the Broncos have dealt with this offseason. But the guy was a first round pick that wasn't supposed to be where he was when we took him. I think he could contribute and contribute early. He can help bridge the large gap that Elvis and Miller being off the team has left.

I love that football physic's spot they did on his power around the Combine on NFL live. He looked like a beast who is big, fast, and physical. It will be exciting to see him develop.

Meh, some guys at DT have a really solid impact their first year but as you mentioned, it's usually those few that are selected at the top of the 1st round. Hopefully he'll dominate for us. At the very least this year I expect, because he was a 1st round DT, to be solid rotation material.

I totally agree, very few DTs make a huge impact their rookie year. Vickerson and Knighton will hold down the spot and hopefully, Williams will be a solid rotational player for them.
