Good luck Joe, I always liked you I just wish you wouldn't have missed so many tackles.

I wish the NFL had a player version of the enforcer. Joe Mays would be ideal for that roll.

And who was it a couple of years back that just knocked guys silly on Kick off?

"In a surprise move, the Broncos have parted ways with Joe Mays.

Mays, who was a starter when healthy for most of the last two years and expected to start at middle linebacker this year, was instead released at the start of training camp"

Looks like the FO knew this would make us happy after enduring yesterday.

And yes this does free up some cap space to add a pass rusher if they feel they need to.

Elway, Fox and Del Rio probably looked over the roster w/all the Von Miller allegations to see what depth they had internally.

"Phillips, Woodyard, Irving, Mays, Brewer, Johnson......wait, Mays? How the **** is he still on the roster?"

Did they have to wait for his leg to heal or something before making it official so they wouldn't get involved in an inury settlement situation?

Kinda late, but no complaints here. I think most assumed he was a goner.

I'd like to see them bring in another punter to give Colquitt some competition.

That is almost as good as the Atwater Okoyee ( sp) hit. AWESOME. I remember hearing and just cringing.

Nah, Colquitt has been extremely solid. Colquitt's job is locked up. Unless, of course, they bring in competition.

JDR. He's gonna take the "if you want something done right, do it yourself" approach.

Don't forget wish he knew where he should have been in formation.

Nice guy? Probably but it was time for him to go. He stunk.
