According to NFL source, #Broncos LB Von Miller tested positive for amphetamines and marijuana during his rookie season of 2011.
Well you officially suck now, Miller.

One of our best players is a drug addict. Awesome.

Is 3rd offense an 8-game suspension, or a full season?

Either way.....when our team breaks for the bye week in the middle of the season......Von better have a full-time babysitter! The last thing we need is for him to lose the rest of the season.

Starting to wonder now. No Doom, no Von. We'll have no pass rush, and Flacco can throw all day again.

But I guess even WITH Von and Doom last year in the playoffs, we still didn't have a pass rush.

I'm with the "At least it's not PED's" crowd, but how naive can you be to think you won't get popped with all the testing?

Jesus, the stupidity.

Yes, that's horrible. But it's the right title to use. As special as he is on the field, the title of DRUG ADDICT really put a big dark cloud over the rest of it.

Hopefully, the suspension and the public shame will go a long way into making him see this is very bad. Not to mention that it will most likely cost him millions on his next contract. There most certainly will be drug clauses in there.

I sure as hell hope he doesn't turn into a DJ.

It certainly does make you appreciate the guys like Peyton Manning even more. Guys who are total studs on and off the field.

Answer: Now we don't have to. Von is still under contract for this year AND next year.

While it would have seemed likely to give him an extension after this season (leading into his final season). Now we don't have to. Make him play out his rookie deal with no further violation of the drug policy.....

If we can't come to agreement on a contract then.......franchise him.

Bottom line.....Von is a Bronco for the foreseeable future (at least 3 seasons).

Von Miller - LB - Broncos

The Denver Post reports Von Miller's four-game suspension is for testing positive for amphetamines and marijuana during his rookie season in 2011.
Miller entered the league with a positive marijuana test already on his resume, so the rookie-year violation was his second of the sort and necessitated a four-game ban. A third offense would knock Miller out for an entire season. Why the NFL took so long to suspend Miller is unclear, but it's believed he'll have a "hard" time winning his current appeal. The Broncos need to prepare to be without Miller until Week 5. Their fantasy defense takes an obvious blow, as aging replacement Shaun Phillips is a sizable downgrade.

Congrats Von, you've just given the Broncos an excuse to put language in your next contract that will financially penalize you for being a dumbass.

Wow. This is for his rookie violation??

On the positive side.....perhaps Von has been clean ever since that rookie violation.

And yes......why did the league wait so long to suspend him??
