1. Tanq or Sapphire martini, up, shaken, a little dirty with three olives.

2. Espilon tequila, straight up, with a lime and a salty glass.

3. Any good single-barrell whiskey - specially if it's local.

As long as it comes from Islay I'm gonna drink it!

I'm drinking vodka and tonic right now. Its not bad on the calories since I don't want to gain weight. I have a cold and I thought drinking would help more than cold pills etc. Lets see if it works.

Gin. Tonic. Lime.

I dig whiskey too, and love an Irish mule (Jameson, ginger beer, fresh lime in a copper cup). But whiskey/rocks is my go-to in the winter.

This is mostly true.

But I have regretted not buying those chaps every day since.

Worst drink I ever had was Jack Daniels and blue agave energy drink. It turned the jack green. I went into work the next day a little lit.

Good times.

I usually shy away from liquor in favor of beer, but when I don't... its usually of the wisky variety

or red balls vodka for a little pick-me-up at the bar. other than that, hate vodka, hate rum, tolerate tequila

right now the only thing on hand is a couple new Belgium rolle bolles in the fridge

Four Roses is a really good value if you are looking for a smooth, lighter Bourbon and only have a $20 in your pocket- I don't care for the bottle design, it looks cheap, but it is good product- some of their higher end products have better bottle design, not that it matters I guess.

I tend to drink my Bourbon neat, but when I break our the Parker's Special Edition Single Barrel, I drink it with 1 large ice cube- it tends to be too hot at 70% alcohol to drink neat, although I do it sometimes, but it is so good.

Evan Williams (which is the same place as Parkers) makes a good Bourbon fro $25.00 or less as well.

Another nice Whiskey I buy alot of Pendleton- its Canadian, and has a carmel hint to it... now I don't usually like that, but it is smooth, and has a excellent mouth feel...

Lately I've been making 1/2 gin 1/2 vodka martinis. Yum.

I love Scotch. I just bought a Bowmore (no year indicated) at Tipsy's last time I was in Denver for $27, for the price it was very, very good. Really, I agree with Brewer:

I also like Pendleton but only on occasion.

Also, when I'm in the mood for Irish whiskey, it's Red Breast or GTFO.

Anejo, Reposado or Blanco?

I we use the Anejo in this recipe:

Chilled Double Old Fashioned Glass
1/3 cup Espolon Anejo
1 Lime's Juice
Tablespoon Agave Nectar
1 Tablespoon Water (Or more Tequila)

Shake with ice until very chilled, strain into chiled glass, not ice. Garnish with lime wedge.

***Do you like the salt? I really like tequila, do you like how the salt messes with the taste?

why the **** would you drink bourbon whiskey when you are already messed up?

That's like pouring a bucket of water on a grease fire, then running to get the hose to finish the job.... lol

Rum guy? Ever had a real Hurricane? Not those premixed gut bomb garbage cups at Pat O'briens...

Now you will look kind of gay for drinking them, but no less than Sinnhcyennak81 and his Amaretto Sours,

2 oz dark rum
1 oz passion fruit syrup
1 oz fresh-squeezed lemon juice

on a hot day, at a family party, or just hanging with friends, they make an easy, excellent drink

I like this thread. I like to drink. I really like a well made, interesting cocktail.

Maybe I should do a liquid lunch, take a cab home and then take a nap.

Buffalo Trace is really good! I heard about how good Bulleit Rye was, but never tried it. I have to do that. How is Four Roses?

Like B-Large said, it's really nice considering how cheap it is. It's one of of my main go-to's. Also, if you have a little more money to spend and can find a bottle of the Four Roses Small Batch, that's basically my favorite bourbon out there.

I didn't even know "peaty" was an adjective.

Clearly your testicles dwarf my own.

I like to sip on this while having an ice cold bottle of Modelo and enjoying a Padron 1964 Imperial cigar.

Jack Daniels or Jimmy Beam either on rocks if sipping or if drinking cut it with splash of water to make it last a bit longer. In reality I don't really drink booze anymore pretty much just beer.
