Son, your card is pulled. Your opinions are that of a confused child that wanders into a middle of a conversation of grown people discussing the NFL. Please find the nearest exit and waddle back to chefs planet.

No, I meant what I said, The second we signed Peyton Manning we became perennial Super Bowl contenders until further notice.

Rivers has been dog crap for a couple years now. You wouldn't know this though since you actually thought Croyle was the franchise QB for the queefs and they didn't need to address the issue anymore.

That's merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to kcdud's Complete ineptitude when it comes to prognosticating.

He makes Mel Kiper & Todd McShea look competent by comparison.

Sheeptstud 2011: Manning threw to Wayne, Garcon and Clark. Now he has to throw to the likes of Decker and Thomas.

Sheepstud 2013: Manning came here getting to throw to guys like Decker and Thomas.

Tracy Porter was on a cheap, one year deal who helped ice the Steelers game in prime time. Worth the gamble.

Mike Adams was sadly an upgrade over the crap we had at safety. Again, super cheap and a veteran. Also, there were literally no other safeties available in free agency. It was an inexpensive upgrade at a critical position.

Joe Mays. This is a head-scratcher and the first criticism outside of Warren (which was actually not handled horribly) that is legit.

Oh yeah! "Just" those guys, including one of the greatest QB's in the history of the game. But let's minimize that as much as possible by lumping several starters including the most important position, and best player, into one small blip after listing a bunch of cheap no-names.

Are you trolling now? Win now mode means drafting someone who wouldn't see the field?

And I expect this year that to change with guys like Malik Jackson, Danny Trevathan, Jeremy Beal, Julius Thomas (I know), Virgil Green and Nate Irving. I also think Kavon Webster and Quanterus Smith could possibly see some time toward the end of the season this year.

I honestly think you, SoCal and other Shanafan's are quick to nitpick Elway and company, and at best, reluctant to admit the successes this front office has had because it's comparatively made Shanahan look bad as a GM. They've rebuilt the Broncos in two years while already tying the number of division wins that Shanahan had in his entire tenure here. And this is a front office that inherited Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow at QB.

You should give that boy a peanut after you ass raped him like that.

REP!
Then you should re-read the thread, because mentioning any of it makes people lose their **** out of context.

As far as the second bold goes, that's exactly the point I've been making. Do I have to re-post it a third time?
Apparently the Elway doubters are in dire need of a history lesson. When Elway came to Denver in 1983 he was the most hated player in the NFL. The current players hated him for his at the time astronomical $5 million salary. The old guard and the press hated him for not playing for the team that drafted him. Then Dan Reeves tried jamming a square peg into a round hole by sticking Elway into his Tom Landry-esque conservative offense, instead of taking advantage of the most gifted quarterback to ever play in the NFL.

While in Denver he was under perpetual scrutiny, where did he get his haircut how much did he tip what did he give out for Halloween candy. After that came the three Super Bowl losses, and having to carry the yoke of that burden. Losing the quarterbacks not even in the same zip code, having to hear the term choker and he can't win the big one. Then there was the ultimate indignity suffered when Reeves spent a first-round draft pick selecting Tommy Maddox...

I glossed over a few other nuggets but hopefully you get the idea never doubt John Elway.

Most of Bronco fandom is aware of Elway the player. If they are not then I cry for them, for they know not awesomeness. However, it is too soon to crown him King of the GM's. Titles need to come before that can happen. No one is saying Elway is a bad GM. Pump the brakes.

The only thing that came up as a blip on my radar (which means I'm right as per usual) was paying Joe Mays $13 million. Other than that he has immaculate track record.

Hope that helps.

I'm sure he will point out Welker only signed with Denver because of Manning too. Elway is smart enough to sign guys that bring other star players. This is what some said here when Manning first signed. Yet people laughed at that.

For clarification purposes only... I'm stupid because the man running my team has won back-to-back division titles and has put us in a position to contend for the Super Bowl.

That makes perfect sense.

Oh good God you are one of those.

Elway the player is undoubtedly one of the greatest QB's in the history of the NFL.

Elway the GM has had the job two + years. He has put together back to back division winners. With two divisional round exits. For Elway to be considered a great GM, he has to bring in a Lombardi trophy or three. That's reality. It is not Elway bashing to think it is too soon to give him the "Bestes GM EVA" plaque.

Once again I don't seem to recall the exact verbiage in the article but I don't believe anyone was referring to him as the greatest general manager in NFL history. I invite you to slow your roll, reread the article so that you may have some context.

Go back and find one single aspect of ANY post I've made in this thread that you actually disagree with and state why you disagree with it.

I can't believe I have to teach people how to have a discussion, but so be it.

I am not basing what I said on the article, but your reaction to differing opinions. You come across as someone who believes any criticism of Elway means you are an Elway-doubter (your words).

Slow my roll...what the **** is this 6th grade?
