my guess is that Bowlen/Elway have inadvertently established a culture of big time drinking. that gets copied down the line by lower levels.

sort of like how drinking was celebrated in the military before the anti-alchohol push of the 90s.

Itís ok to have one or two drinks and drive.Iíll never get caught drinking and driving.

I am too much of a man to let alcohol impair me. Besides only sissies canít handle drink.

The police are just a bunch of jerks that want to stop people from having a good time.

After a long dayís work, I deserve a good drink.

I can drive normally when I drink.

Iím not a criminal if I drink and drive and donít get caught.

Drinking and driving is no big deal. People do it all the time.
