No I'm not a hippie.... because I know that soap water and deodorant and shampoo exist.... and I use them

Asheville is considered SF East....a liberal enclave set in the middle of the Bible Belt. One of my favorite pastimes was the sit outside a little cafe drinking coffee and watch the Freak Show that is Asheville....it's like a bowl of cereal - what isn't fruits and nuts is flakes.

but the areas surrounding Asheville in the mountains are very beautiful.... 12 bones smokehouse near the river is where President Barack Obama goes every time he visits.

Nice today and nothing terrible hot. If it gets too crazy, I can always head up to Big Bear and it will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler.
Well, this was partially wrong. My wife said it will be 93 in Big Bear on Tuesday but around 80 in lower SoCal (close to sea level). I guess mountain folks will be heading down to the beach for the day.

Yea, I love the mountains of NC. I may be weird, but I prefer a trip to the Appalachins over going to the beach.

Supposed to be in the 90's all week in Alaska, as well....

Alaska!

Pretty hot considering their record high was 95 about 100 years ago.

Next time you're out this way, you should go to Pisgah Forest off 276 in Brevard....Looking Glass Falls, and Sliding Rock are nice places

Yes it is but when the 90's feel cool, it's really ****ing hot. Suppose to be 105 today and 115 down in St. George. Guess that makes me feel better.

pushing 90 in Seattle today, overnight low of 62. With our humidity it can be a little miserable.... Taking OP advice and stocking the fridge full of beer.
