one injury doesn't forever doom the player. an acl tear is a simple fix nowadays.

So what do y'all think? Right choice? Assuming Hollins would've taken the job?

I think Hollins is the better choice. But Shaw has been sitting with some good coaches so it could work out.

Rose is a p***Y. Blair doesn't even have ACLs in either knee and he's ballin.

Good hire. Shaw has a great pedigree and promises to be a very good HC.

I'll still say he did right for his brand by sitting, but you see Shumpert out there hustling and playing... Just doesn't look good for Rose.

The guy finally gets a shot. Could be good, could suck. At least you will not see that stupid midget backcourt play again and routine 1st round exits. Time for change.

Speed. I wanna see how he performs. While it's a more routine surgery, bball players slow down from it.

I'm surprised they didn't keep Asik. Also Deng has been shopped so much just trade the mofo. He's got 1 year left on his current deal and I wouldn't want to pull the trigger for another huge contract.

Good hire for the Nuggets, Brian Shaw will take them far with that talented group.

The Lakers meanwhile are stuck with that idiot Mike D'Antoni.

Dear God please let this be true!!!

Thunder Shopping Kendrick Perkins, Draft Picks

By Tony Hoops | Published June 26, 2013

According to ESPN, the Oklahoma City Thunder are trying to package Kendrick Perkins and their two first-round draft picks in exchange for a top-five pick.

The Thunder own rights to the number 12 draft pick and also the 29th pick as well.

With Perkins being owed around $18 million over the next two seasons, a trade in Oklahoma’s favor is highly unlikely.

John Hollinger is in the FO now. Hollins doesn't buy the analytic stuff and would get all up in his player's ****.

doubt he's slower than before. maybe due to mental hurdles but the knee is sound.
not keeping Asik was dumb as hell. even with the poison pill structure Houston did it would have been smarter to keep him.
Deng should have been traded for Barnes last year, they should have traded him already this season.

Blair is a scrub, scrubs have to play regardless of health or they might get cut

I wouldn't say scrub. He produced almost 8 points 6 rebounds in 18 mins a game for his career. If he had more minutes he'd have more production. Popovich just keeps him in the doghouse for Bonner, who is a scrub.

Kendrick Perkins has become increasingly useless in today's NBA. Well, useless at his cost.

That's pretty much all I got from that trade scenario.

Bonner has a use, Blair does not or else he would play.
notice other teams around the NBA aren't exactly trying to pry him away.

at least the Kobe stopper averaged 10.7 ppg during his career. Perkins just doesn't fit in OKC and never really did. but they suck at drafting C's.

Bonners ONLY role is spread the floor with 3 pointers. His defense is the worst in the league. Foul first defend later is his motto. He has no driving ability. No passing ability. And no blocking out for a rebound ability. When he's off on his outside shot(which is all the time recently) there is no use for him. There has been interest from some teams for Blair throughout the season. Heat and blazers were very interested. He will get playing time on another team for sure.

People said Luis scola had no game too. "If scola had a use he'd be playing" Pop continued riding him on the bench. Went to another team and proved him wrong.

Scola had knees,size,skill and talent.

He was also sitting on the bench and in Pops doghouse. That only proves my point that you can have talent and still sit on pops bench.

Blair produced his first 2 years. Made an impact and was even starting games. Blair isn't a true center based on height yet was playing the position. His minutes dropped in favor of bonner to spread the floor. Doesn't mean the talent isn't there cause I've seen it since college. I guarantee he will be on a team next year if it isn't the spurs and getting considerable playing time. Stephen Jackson as well.
