All of this happened within days of the murder. Heck the SUV and surveillance WAS the next day. They are getting their ducks in a row and do not want another OJ. The DA probably wants an air tight case. I would say they have plenty of substantial evidence but want a case so tight it eats a quarter and spits out two dimes and a nickle.
I think at this point they have a lot of circumstantial evidence. What I would guess they are hoping for is the murder weapon or DNA evidence tying the victim to Hernandez directly. I do think that they will arrest him and charge him for murder either way, but without solid physical evidence of his involvement in the crime they are probably worried his lawyers will get him off OJ Simpson style.

Don't worry, the police have evidence...and plenty of it.

That tweet is pretty crazy, but it's completely unrelated to your b*tch comment. It's a Patriots reporter wishing that Hernandez hid all the evidence so he doesn't get caught. Mind blowing how twisted on reality you have to be to put football over justice in a homicide case.

Lets see your evidence or proof............

And if your gonna reply with a ****ing tweet don't expect others to read your ****ed up twisted little mind.

Hernandez really chose a bad time to be involved in a controversy. Its the lull period between OTAs and Training Camp. The media is devouring a story that, while still front page news at another time would have had some competing events to take some of the spotlight.

I think the irony here is that Hernandez lawyer is gonna make out like a bandit regardless of how things pan out for Herny.

I thought you would never offer...

Maybe I am being too cynical, but I have just lost all faith that the average NFLer has even a shadow of a clue when it comes to making smart decisions. Hernandez may be different, he might just be a good kid who ended up in a bad situation and when all the smoke clears he will be clean and shiney - I am just not holding my breath.

From what has leaked, it seems insurmountable. And he will more than likely go to court for this. I think you need to take a step back and take a breath or three.

Aaron Hernandez - TE - Patriots

ESPN Boston wouldn't rule out the Patriots releasing Aaron Hernandez even if he avoids murder charges in the Odin Lloyd case.
Respected reporter Mike Reiss is just responding to a hypothetical in a mailbag column, but imagines the Pats "feel a bit betrayed by Hernandez after they made a big financial commitment to him just 10 months ago." NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported last week that the Patriots may not be able to recover Hernandez's guaranteed 2013-14 base salaries, which would obviously be a major factor in this scenario.

It's nice to know that only Jetmeck has your back.

They are just paying the good guy statement. There is no way they would cut him or not play him. It's all about winning to Bill Belichek.

I can hardly wait until Brady retires. BB will go back to being a subpar coach. The only question is how long before he gets booted, after Brady is gone?

The Patriot way. You play for less then your worth, don't get rewarded for past greatness, and when we think you are busted we ship your ass away. YAY!

While true, aren't they heavily evaluated by firms on their performance?

Or am I just projecting what I've seen in movies into a career field I know next to nothing about?

look at our franchise history in that regard. Belichick has a ****load of success with a HOF QB and then becomes mediocre once that QB is gone. i am wondering if he gets that near decade long run of mediocrity that Shanahan got here.
