Greg Orton is 26 years old and runs a 4.70 40.

One of these things isn't like the other.

I think both Green and Thomas are going to emerge. Said about 2 weeks someplace that Tamme might be nice trade bait. I like him, but we have too many TEs and he might garner a 3rd or 4th to the right team? Not sure we get much for the others yet...

I've mentioned it several times: Tamme had the lowest drops-per-target ratio in the NFL last year.

We kept 4 TEs last year

We will keep the same 4 this year

I don't understand why guys are so hot to dump Dreessen and Tamme. Sometimes the grass isn't any greener on the other side of the fence.

If Thomas can beat them out or even press for playing time than great but right now TE isn't our biggest position of need.

I like Virgil Green... he's gonna have a good season. I'm not sold on Julius Thomas but I'm sold on Virgil Green.

If Virgil Green has 10 receptions this year I'll eat my hat.

I am not hot to dump any of the TEs but if Green and Thomas get in the top three spots why would you pay your 4th TE almost $2 million a year? It looks like Elway is watching out for Bowlen's wallet as well as the cap.

Green did not have many receptions last year but I remember 4 or the ones he did against SD and New Orleans I believe. He made some very athletic moves. Elway has said repeatedly that he is Denver's best blocker..... well, you know what he is also one of the fastest and he has very good agility.

Prepare to eat your hat, and I'd be willing to wager he gets more than 10 receptions.

To me, Virgil Green's athleticism doesn't seem to translate onto the field. When he's gotten the ball in his hands (granted, a small sample size), he's looked kind of lumbering to me. Doesn't really seem to have much explosiveness or quickness, his impressive combine results notwithstanding.

If you can get a hold of the Denver At S.D. game watch it again. Green caught two passes then made two athletic moves. He hurdled one defender and picked up firs down. In fact I think I started this thread after that game.
