I don't hate moreno...I think he'll make the team, and will be a solid contributor for us, like he did last season after McGahee went down.

And then pulls up with a limpy hamstring in the 3rd quarter.

No I don't mean the guy that was wise enough to stash an inexpensive quality back on the inactive list until needed, I am talking about the old school coach that does not like to start rookies at skill positions.

Ball is not your typical rookie back. He's much smarter and more mature than any rookie back Fox has ever had. On top of that, Fox has made it clear since he came to Denver that he doesn't really like Moreno. Betting on Moreno is basically betting on Ball totally sucking in pass pro, and I think that's unlikely. Dude is just too smart and tough not to pick that stuff up quick.

And all of that is leaving out the likely possibility that Moreno pulls something in TC and isn't healthy enough to start opening day anyway.

No true power back on this team now....this might come back to haunt them if Ball doesn't pan out like they hope.

H8 to see a Cane go, but the writing was on the wall with the Ball pick. The only thing surprising or shocking when I saw the news today was that it already happened before TC. But, even then i wasn't shocked/surprised.

I'm not, because it means that Ball and Hillman are either so hurt, or so ineffective blocking in the offense that we're starting a 4.7 40 before injury back with next to no ability to get to the next level and no real threat to break a run longer than 12 yards and serious durability concerns. That would suck.

Moreno will pull his vag, then Ball runs wild leading the team to a SB victory. So yah, wouldn't surprise me Moreno starts the 1st game.

Don't see it. Ball is going to start from day one. Hillman is going to spell him and Moreno is inactive most of the year. Either Hester or Lance Ball make the active roster as a special teams/emergency RB.

Dallas would be a good spot for Willis. He rides the bench until Murray gets dinged then come in.

Or what about Miami? All the have is Miller and the bust Thomas. Maybe they bring him in as a bkup? I can't think of one team though that would start him. Maybe Ariz if Mendenhal goes down?

I don't think Broncos run Ball full time right away. They may start Moreno and Ball in a time share until one of them gets injured, or seperates himself. Hillman is the change of pace guy and Lance Ball the bkup.

I'd be shocked if M Ball & Hillman are not the day-one starters. Moreno will probably be the main backup to both positions. Hester & L Ball with battle it out for the last spot, but Hester has an advantage because of his versatility.

Unless Montee can't pick up the pass protection, don't see why he wouldn't start day one(barring injury of course).

Hope Willis catches on with another team. I think he can still play and be a very effective RB.

Micheal Turner still have a knack for scoring. Maybe we kick the tires on him late in TC if no one signs him. Vet min and only use him if the younger backs fail to get it into the endzone.

There will be Ball and there will be juice in the Bronco's backfield

Moreno is just an afterthought at this point
