Would have been pointless to keep him around. Enjoy life Willis.

And this is why I was concerned when they apparently didn't have the $ to sign Mendenhall, spending it on Welker, instead. Yes, I like Welker a lot but felt the position was more than adequately filled by Stokley.

McGahee's health is in question and even if he had stayed, I'd have been worried. Sounds like other matters were up to issue here; perhaps his contract and perhaps that he was offended when the team tried to sign Mendenhall.

Welker is a much much much better player than a 37 year old stokely.

Sounds like he was giving the team the finger and just begging them to make it official.

I was going to post this. McGahee cost us a shot at the NE game. And his fumbles per carry were really high last year. Strangely, one of the areas a running back starts show his age is in fumbles.

Worth all that cash so we can't sign a veteran?

That game was not one person's fault.

Absolutely and we still had cap room. The reason we didn't sign Mendenhall is because the FO had a number they felt he was worth and didn't go above that. That's good business.

Is training camp over? So the roster is set now? Moreno and his stem-celled knee are far from a lock to make this team.

Oh and on a side note I find the nyuk nyuk/DenverDUI55 alternating avatars pretty entertaining.

Is it ever? It doesn't mean that individuals don't make major mistakes that kill their team's chances, and McGahee did.

Several did in that game. So did the refs.

I think this move speaks volumes about Montee. I bet he has picked up the offense and made the FO believe he is the guy.

OR McGahee has been giving the FO the finger for months and they had no choice, starter or not.

It is my fault. Sheepstud has let everyone know that the more I tease the Chiefs the more the player's performance suffers. All those men's abilities are tied to how much I rip the Chiefs. Apparently I am some kind of a god.

Hillman and MB must be showing out.

I heard Ronnie Hillman looks good and is the early bet to get the starting RB job but its most likely a timeshare between those two guys.

They probably will as Ball shows by playing he can handle the starting job.

Might happen in week 1 or week 10 we don't know at this point and it is Moreno not Willis that has been chosen to the the transition player for Ball.
