In the meantime, I will share some tweets from today's minicamp:

Darren McKee ‏@dmac1043 7m
Another interesting day in safety land. Bruton and jammer out with the ones. Hmmmmmm

Lol Welker over the top on Bruton. Welcome to a harsh reality

I was briefed that mcgahee was NOT being punished yesterday it's just that he's coming off injury. Mcgahee did challenge me to a race though

Sharp crisp manning in charge pic.twitter.com/C3D6cvtzJ2

Willis is still here pic.twitter.com/lXTk6A2Ux6

Dmac (apparently the only one on Twitter I follow who is at camp):

It's a wrap. The safety competition most compelling. Mcgahee much more in he mix. Manning to Welker impressive - again. The weapons amazing

Fox up,

1st Question on Brock - Brock is looking good and coming along well.

- Game reps being given to these guys, moving around guys into different roles with the ones and twos.

- Kupe, JD and Clady out, so we don't get a full look at those guys full speed. We'll see them in camp.

- Thinks Clady deal will get worked out, but at least anticipates seeing him in camp.

That was it. Real short.

Del Rio up:

Joking about Ben Garland being over on the offensive side.

- Good foundation and guys learning the language and principals.

- Likes pushing the guys and making them uncomfortable this time of year. Keep them pushing this time of year.

- There are some things they need to learn from prior season. Will make adjustments as necessary. Look at them this time of year and get them on table.

- Safeties - Both guys returning who started for us, practice squad player in the mix. Practicing real football even without hits. Teaching guys to attack the ball and make tackles.

- Philosophy is to coach hard, let them compete and let things sort themselves out. Compete repeated several times. Grown men trying to feed families will really compete going into training camp.

- Someone at safety? will be acting as QB of the Defense. Couldn't hear name. Whoever it is is making progress.

- Corner is the most isolated position and safety is that at times. Safety has more they have to be responsible for with calls and checks and such.

- David Bruton is a cerebral guy, makes communication well in backfield. Great size and speed, playing good football now. Great special teams player. Has moved into consideration for time with first group.

- Looking for a healthy Nate Irving (I think thats the name he said).

- Quentin playing catch up a bit. DRC and Shaun Phillips have been around a bit longer and getting grasp of whats going on. Look for contribution in the fall. Shaun has learned different positions, including outside LB and DE. Smart guy, done a good job.

And thats it.

Gase:

- Great group of backs and Willis ready to compete. Not ignoring him (after a dumb question).

- Most guys have a better grasp of what they're doing. Hard to measure everything without pads. Will be a big difference with Willis when he comes in in pads.

- Guys practicing now on O-line replacing starters are doing good. Great to get the reps for them in case they are called. Think its a positive to give these guys reps.

- Julius Thomas - has improved, better grasp of offense, getting different looks. He doesn't repeat mistakes.

- Bubba - Guy who is hungry to make impact, doing a good job on run after catch and consistently catching the ball. Has a better feel for offense.

- Orton - Absolutely as hungry as Bubba. Making one or two big plays a day and is going to push that last guy to make the team spot.

- Guys job is to stay in condition. The guys are doing that. Staying in the playbook is important for these guys and that they stay on learning curve, looking at 20-30 minutes a day.

- Welker - Does a great job on teaching, seeing what younger player does and gives them advice on how to leverage the Defense against them and on routes.

Thats it. Von Miller will be out in about 25 minutes if you want to click the link in first post.

Von Miller talked about how he's humbled being compared with Lawrence Taylor, then goes on fairly long tangent explaining how being called a 'chicken' shouldn't be an insult.

He claims "if you study or just look at a cock, um, rooster, and observe their personalities, you would see why it's not an insult to be called a chicken. Thanks, Bye."

I didn't pay that great of attention. The last part had the reporters cracking up though, as he walks off stage.
