Default Would you rather have Luck or Brock Osweiler & Von Miller?

With a few years of Peyton Manning tossed in.

I'll take Miller and Brock & Peyton every time.

Having the second pick made us a better team both short term (Peyton Manning) and long term (Brock & Von ) than if we had had the 1st over all pick (Luck)

It's a good question. Do you have an opinion or are you waiting for more responses before you decide how you are supposed to think about this?

Easily Luck. All about the QB and Manning is almost done.

I'd take luck over any QB in the league going forward without a doubt, but at the price of von and the future qb brock it would be a very tough decision.

I'll have to go with Luck as of right now. We've seen what he can do in his rookie season. As much as I want to believe in Brock, we simply don't know how he'll pan out.

Thank you for getting the thread.

Did I not explain it very well do you think?

Don't forget we also likely have PEYTON for 3 maybe 4 seasons with a good shot at a championship every one of those years.

Luck for me. A once a generation type player at the most important position

If things play out you are talking 15-16 years of top QB play. We know what he does on the field but off the field it frees up your draft board and creates a definitive advantage come draft time to really improve your team.

If we win a super bowl with Manning, definitely Von-Brock-Manning(for few years)

-Becuz even the Colts only won 1 super bowl with Peyton Manning. The Dolphins 0 with Marino.

However, QBs like Eli Manning won 2 superbowls and Flacco 1 last year built around Defensive Leaders simliar to Von
I could see Osweiler having a similar chance if he pans out properly.

True, but you'd have Luck and his skimpy salary for the next 3 years. Combine that with the rest of this Broncos team and I see SB viability.

I'd go with Luck. Brock is completely unknown and so no more valuable than the 2nd round pass rusher we'd have picked in his place and QB>any other position.

In this equation we likely would have kept Doom as well.

I disagree to an extent. We might have Manning for that long but I'm not sold that he'll be an elite (top 5) passer all the way into that 4th year.

Luck will be leading the Colts for 10-15 unless something goes horribly wrong.

Oz is going to make Luck look like Maddox. I'll take Von over all of them.

Luck going 10 to 15 years without injury or other issues is as much as an unknown as Peyton having 3 or 4 years of top notch play maybe even more of a stretch.

The break on Luck's cap hit is a good point and is a real factor.

I'd go with Von/Osweiler/Manning over Luck.

While playing hypotheticals I would have gone Von/Luck over Manning/Wolfe/Osweiler if we would have tanked it with Orton in 2011.

In that case we would have Von, Luck and Wolfe because we would also have a top 2nd round pick about where we took Wolfe anyway.
