Man, it was crazy! I have no idea why Spoltra didn't defend Hibbert in games 2-6 like that. One thing we saw was how we opened up the floor just being aggressive. Even when Bosh and Wade would miss/get blocked on every attmept in the first two quarters, just them being aggressive, opened up everything. Hey and Ray showed up big! It will be interesting to see how we match up against the Spurs. Should be a good series.

I don't understand it either. Almost gives the home court to the away team.

I was telling people at work since game 1 that they should have attacked Hibbert to get him in foul trouble. About damn time Spoelstra listened to me.

not really, rarely is the road team going to take it in 5 games. it's designed to cause less consecutive travel.

Ya but splitting the first 2 seems like a bigger impact than splitting first 2 in a 2-2-1-1-1. I know its the travel thing cause there's much more media etc involved, but seems like 3 in a row helps a team out.

it's more for the players than the media.
it was a way to somewhat reward them for making the title game.
while it can help the road team some it's not that big of a handicap. the best team in most cases is still going to win.
home advantage helps but any team worth a salt will be able to win at least 1 on the road and one at home.

Ya the location of the court should have less impact when the 2 teams are this good.

Does the format really matter? In a sport that probably has 8 different champs in 30 yrs??

I've heard the opposite. One of the biggest things that people like about the 2-3-2 is that road teams have to spend sustained periods of time on the road. Road teams arent simply doing an in and out--not usually.

Ya all that shows is people wanting them to lose, as opposed to people thinking they'll lose.

It's going to be a tough series for the spurs. Being off for so long I can almost guarantee game 1 will be sluggish for them. Brick city. Spurs can win this IF bonner Diaw Kawhi green and Neal hit their shots when called upon. Bonner and neal can't hit anything right now. Kawhi and green have stepped up though.

Turnovers and giving up offensive rebounds are how spurs lose. Have a good chance if those are kept in check.

Don't worry about offensive boards. After the Heat shoot, they don't even bother trying to get a rebound. It will be a good series. Parker looks like he's on a rampage. It will be interesting to see if Cole plays more minutes to try and slow down Parker. Maybe LBJ on Parker late in the forth.

Parker is going to be key. If his shots are going in it opens it up for the perimeter shooters. Heat are going to abuse bonner though. All Lebron would have to do is aim for him going to the rim and its a sure foul. Bonner doesn't even bother to defend. Hell just wrap up.

Stack Jack nastiness will be missed this series.
