He has to be doing something to make the team every year. But then he has to not be doing something every year to never be even active half the games.

Scarier than a team of python-monkey-terminator, bloodcrazy, chainsaw wielding, dirt bike riding, psycho clowns from outer space.

I'm sure he'll be up to his usual piss-poor body language injured self by the end of camp. Dude has been a "talented project" for like 3 years now.

One career catch for 5 yards.

Wow people are hard on this guy. Great preseason two years ago, got hurt after his first catch, got hurt again past year. Now he's healthy and showing well and everyone's being an a-hole.

DT was a first round pick.

JT was a fourth round pick. I think what you're seeing is cynicism toward the infinite number of camp stars in the preseason: Adrian Madise, Darius Watts, Todd Devoe, Mike Bell, Bradlee Van Pelt, Ryan Torain, Domenik Hixon, Jarvis Moss, et al. Almost all of which never amounted to much.

Wasn't Jarius J. the hot talk of camp one year? Was before my time here so not sure. Then again thinking back, that mighta been before the OM's time. Damn I'm getting old.

I get that. My point is that JT has never had a chance to suck or not due to injuries. So all we know right now is that when healthy he has apparently performed quite well in practice.

It's entirely possible JT could be another Wesley Duke.

I think most people are leaning toward the latter.

BVP was a camp star? Man I don't remember that. I reallllly wish he had consented to playing safety, he would have been a natural at it. John Lynch 2.0.

They really aren't different positions though. Tamme played the slot last yr. Welker will play the slot this yr. Tamme not the blocker Dressen is so he can't go to inline TE. There is no room for Tamme except as a bkup in case Welker got hurt. If Thomas can back that spot up Tamme could be traded or cut.

i want this Mofo to stay healthy so we can finally have a top flight tight end again.

i don't agree that Tamme is the odd man out. we'll keep 4-5 TE's. if anything it's between Green and Thomas to get it done.

He definitely was, but it was more with the actual media than just on the Mane. I think Woody wrote a column calling for him to be the starter.

And given that he only played one season of college football in 2010 and made 1st team all Big Sky conference....I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

[QUOTE=ZONA;3854138]Agreed. We hear about him every OTA and Camp and then nothing. I don't put much stock into these early stories about him.I'd suspect that the reason being is because they are not playing with pads on. When it gets physical is when he fails and that was the part of him that needed refinement. Which he has yet to show

No the orangemane was here....we actually had clowns on here who advocated giving the raw but athletic Jarious Jackson the chance to be our starting QB instead of signing the more polished Jake Plummer. (Sound familiar?)

He ended up playing in the CFL where he helped his teams win the Grey Cup 3 times...he is currently the QB coach of the British Columbia Lions
