Default Loose Cannon: McCain Sneaks Into Syria

If this was a Democrat pulling this on a Republican president the media in this country would explode. For a losing presidential candidate to pull this kind of **** is the worst kind of political grandstanding and extremely hazardous to our foreign policy in the region. It's the equivalent of Sonny Corleone speaking out of turn in the meeting with Salazzo. This just sends wrong signals all over the place. Leave it to McCain to pull this stunt. He's been a loose cannon since he was at the Naval Academy.

But seriously though…Didn't Jimmy Carter do this sort of thing all the time? I don't remember any douchy posts by you calling him out.

Agree with you 100% Ro. Leave it to Stutgots to have his GOP shades on and come inside the thread with his predictable behavior.

McCain has got some huge balls. Don't be pissed Obama would be too scared to pull off half the **** mcCain has done. Lets see land on an aircraft carrier at night, fly in combat, get captured, and now visit rebels in a warzone. He's a stud compared to weak ass sit under a tree and read a book Obama. He's not smarter then Obama but i would still take him in a street fight over him. But even Bob Dole with his wretched arm could probably take Obama.

Meanwhile Obama went golfing and had Jay z over for some weed and Alize.

Besides we don't know yet if Obama is pissed do we? I agree though if Obama did not want anyone going and they do anyways it isn't respectfull to the President. Also I'm not sure what a rouge meeting with rebels would do other then be a media story so it will be interesting to read more about this and see what the **** is going on and how involved we are going to be. Lots of advanced weapons pouring into Syria. A no fly zone could be more risky now then earlier in the conflict. Obama has his work cut out for him right now. I don't whether this is all according to plan or if he just rolls the dice and see's what happens. His roll right now is do nothing.

He watches to see how things unfold, then how to spin that outcome to look like it was what he planned all along.

…and it would be wrong.

All this man does is give speeches and hide from real responsibility.

…and when things get tough, he blames everyone but himself. Anytime anything good happens he is the first one to take credit. Anytime something bad happens he is the first person to cast blame or simply go on vacation and have his press secretary blame people.

, I highly doubt a Senator is going to sneak into any country without the presidents knowledge. Too much can go wrong.

Hahahaha, your are a very ignorant person aren't you. Your creative, I'll give you that, but if you really think the office of President is any diffrent across the pantheon of executive leaders you are sadly mistaken. The job description doesn't change from one president to the next, and quite frankly they all work just as hard as the last.

No, I doubt it would be wrong. He is President of the United States. That in itself speaks to his accomplishments over yours. Get over yourself.

I like McCain and voted for him but I disagree with him on this. Stability comes first, not "people's rebellions" or stupidity like that. Islamist rebels cannot be allowed to take control. I dont care if Assad is a tyrant or a murderer. Until you can find a secular and moderate group that is well positioned to control the country, then don't get involved right now, offshoots of Al Qaeda and the brotherhood appear best positioned to fill a potential vacuum. Thats not acceptable.

Stability is what's important. Keep Assad in control for now.

That's precisely why so many Arabs and Muslims hate us.

"Stability" over freedom, liberty, and all the principles of our nation.

"I dont care if Assad is a tyrant or a murderer." - 'nuff said.

You are certainly entitled to your view. I don't share it. Trying to export our values of government into societies with no long held history of democracy or strong political institutions like judiciary's or legislatures often end up in mob rule. To create a successful democratic system requires decades or longer of established institutions in place and it also requires a public willing to engage in rational discourse to find solutions to problems. In other words, it's not for everyone. Our FP should be no different than anyone else's....ie to protect our interests. If we can help eliminate human suffering that's great too.....so long as it doesn't conflict with preserving stability or our interests.

You have to take emotion out of this.

Ok so liberals are back to policing the world now? what is it do you want to intervene and spread deomcracy, or do you want to sit it out and work on America. Seriously do the liberals even know what they want before the media tells them the plan?
