Working against the first-team defense, the 37-year-old Manning
did complete a few passes to new slot receiver Wes Welker but it was easy to tell the quarterback had played a full season in 2012 with outside receivers Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker.

Several of Manning's most impressive throws Monday were caught by Thomas and Decker.

"The growth of Decker and Thomas — these two guys, I've seen them grow so much," said Champ Bailey, the Broncos' starting cornerback for going on 10 seasons. "And you think they can't better — they've gotten better. And it seems like their chemistry with Peyton has gotten better as well."

@PriscoCBS 2h Brock Osweiler looks much improved for Broncos. I think he would have been top pick this year if he stayed in school.

I just knew when Elway picked him and everyone was pissed that someday he will be our starter. Hopefully hes a good one and people on this board can be told how stupid they are every week for 15 yrs.

Osweiler was a developmental pick, I saw no difference between him and Tannehill as passers last year in the draft prep. He had a few mechanical issues, a bit of a windup and that stupid ball pat he does and his feet weren't great but for a 1 year starter those are quite easy to fix - had he been starting for several years it would be much harder to change his mechanics.

I think sitting behind Manning, gives him a great opportunity to grow and develop - obviously the best case scenario is that he turns into Aaron Rodgers.

I'm hoping Manning is chewing Osweiler's butt for not doing it the 'right way' as he would an O-lineman, receiver or back.

Not sure there's ever been a halfway successful 6'8 quarterback so he'd be breaking the mold. I agree with Prisco about the top pick, I mean good lord- EJ Manuel went 16.

Lol...I'm sure they are dominating.

Honestly I'm in such a good mood not even the occasional baja ribbing will throw it off. Best day at work in the five and a half years I've been there.

Lol...no. I've been working on a project for a long time and I killed it today in a presentation. I memorized about 45 minutes worth of material in purely a conversational tone word for word and responses to about a dozen possible questions... it came off looking extemporaneous and informal and filled with positives. And it generated a much more friendly response from the other attorneys than I thought we would get. The higher ups were happy too so that was good.

Thanks. I really think this thing we put together is worthwhile and will be ultimately very helpful even if it requires a bit more effort and I'm glad people gave it a fair chance. I was really worried about the reception. I also did a super comprehensive instruction manual so maybe they appreciated that they weren't going to be left hanging. Anyway....I feel really good today.

@cecillammey That's nice. Can he hit the deep seam this year?

@jcgrayum hit some today in practice, I like the look of this Gase offense

just clearing up for those out there who think Oz is going to be pushed by Dysert....it's not close!

good day for Peyton today, arm looked stronger.

https://twitter.com/cecillammey

I don't think anybody was thinking he would push him this year. Oz has had a full year of NFL development and even more so a full year behind Manning. It seems to have done wonders for his game on all the things I've read. I'm sure a year in the league and a year learning from PM will also help Dysert. It's a good thing that we have 2 guys back there learning from PM and improving.

Loved hearing that DT and Decker look even more polished. Good god, with those 2 and Welker, holy crap that's going to be a handful for ANY defense. I'm going to take a wild guess that with those 3 guys on the field, the dump route to a RB is going to be WIDE OPEN. Not sorta open.....but WIDE OPEN.

It would be huge if Irving took this opportunity and ran with it. That would save us having to use a high(ish) pick on another MLB or drop money on a free agent.

Glad to hear about Osweiler too. I know it's only OTA's, but it's great to hear that his fundamentals have improved. That's exactly the stuff you can take away from watching OTA's.
