Golden State was a tough match-up for Denver but I wonder if this means you need a true star on your team to win in the Playoffs. Lawson is as close as Denver gets to one but he is no Curry.

The answer to the thread title is no.

Karl needs to go after this pathetic coaching.

Regular season only matters until the playoffs, and yet again we under achieve.

It would be nice if one of the Denver teams did something of any importance in the playoffs instead of being disappointing. Denver = disappointment in sports.

Like another poster just stated.. The answer to the original thread question is a huge NO

Denver is not close to a championship caliber team... but better than my Lakers this season.

Seattle will thank you to not think you're stealing any of their thunder in this regard.

At least the Broncos delivered 15 years ago. This **** franchise will never do anything, same with the rest of the Colorado Chumps.

Only the Nuggets. Avs have two titles, Rockies had Rocktober (still better than anything the Nuggets ever did). Even the Rapids have flown the flag. We've got two Lombardis after all, hardly a disappointment those years and nobody thought we'd win a title this time last year deep down. Year before we made splash out of nowhere too. I'd be very slow to bracket us in with the likes of those losers in yellow.

Nuggets are the odd one out, the red headed stepchild of the bunch. They're an embarrassment and should be disowned. Honest hypothetical question here: If a genie came by and offered the Avs and Rockies to be perennial top contenders and occasional winners at the cost of the Nuggets being moved, would people here take it?

The Nuggets are at least good more often than they are not. The Rockies have had three competitive seasons in their twenty year history. And right now the Avs are a complete embarrassment from top to bottom.

Honestly, i think where the nuggets are at is every bit as bad as being a losing team. Possibly worse because it's harder to fix.

Avs are an embarrassment now thanks to Kroenke but were great the first ten years. Rockies at least have done more with less and actually made it to the dance, which the Nuggets will never do.

Maybe they should end this dreary project of investing in the Nugs instead of the Avs. The NHL isn't fixed and the Avs have at least won a couple cups.

When a coach goes out in the first round 9 out of 10 times he makes the playoffs it's time to say he can't win the big one...or even the medium sized ones for that matter. Karl is our Don Nelson, a great regular season coach who can't take a team to the next level. It's time to start exploring other options.

Is there even the slightest chance the Nuggets could get Phil Jackson to coach? Didn't he have a kid or kids who went to college in Colorado or something? Or have they long since graduated?

We don't have the best player in the league on our roster...so,no- he won't be coming here to coach.

yah, I've said this before but George Karl is just not good in the post season. His teams underachieve in the post season. I like him, but he's just not gonna get the Nuggets to the NBA finals. I'd see if the Nuggets could hire Jerry Sloan, the old Jazz coach, to come in and get the Nugz to take the next level.

Well it was the Nuggets and it was no surprise they didn't do anything in the playoffs. Curry>whole Nugget team.
