It still cracks me up that KC won't even try and take a QB. As long as Elway is here we will be developing QBs.

No ****. They could really use a developmental guy with a high ceiling like Dysert. You don't get QBs who have the potential to become starters in the 7th round as a rule, and KC passed on him how many times? Rofl...

I'm going to crack up out loud if the Broncos sign him as a UDFA. I have seen this guys name in this thread, more times than I can ever remember, since the 3rd or 4th round. Folks, there is a reason he is not yet drafted. Apparently, the other teams that need a ILB agree with Elway on this one.

I'd say getting 2-3 starters in year one of any draft is doing pretty well. I never expect much from the others, but if 1-2 more develop into starters down the road then the draft can be considered a success.

I think Smith could get plenty of playing time when he proves he is healthy. Also I wouldn't be shocked to see Webster playing a bunch.

I'm always up for drafting a QB prospect even when you don't absolutely need one.

The competition will do Brock Osweiler some good.

Being the future starting QB should be something that is earned and not given.

yep, very strange as he was productive in college. Must be something we don't know. He's not a real fast LBer but that should not make him undraftable. I am suprised the Broncos didn't take him. I'm thinking the fricken Niners, or ratbirds will draft him in the 7th.

I think the summary of the 2013 NFL draft for the Denver Broncos is: upside.

Outside of the first 2 rounds when players were selected who could and should contribute right away, the remaining picks were all about getting players who can go in and fill out the bottom of the depth chart. Guys who need to develop their skills but have a ton of athletic ability and good triangle numbers.

Yah, two immediate starters in Williams and Ball and then depth guys and developmental guys.

Health permitting-

Williams is probably a day one contributor, and then eventually starter, much like Wolfe last year.

Ball will contribute day one, and when McGahee and/or Moreno have their annual injury, he starts.

Webster is a ST's ace immediately, possibly helping out in the nickle and dime depending on how Bolden develops and the starters health.

Q. Smith may contribute on passing downs if he is healthy.

Dysert is a PS candidate.

The rest of the guys are more than likely ST's guys and/or depth, to be used depending on the health of the starter.

Either they have to keep 6 CBs, or else find an excuse to stash someone on IR for a year (perhaps Webster himself). Sly and Ball will help right away. No pressure for Smith to play right away with the Phillips signing, they can stash him on IR if need be. King could help on ST right away and be the 4th WR, maybe move up if we lose Decker to FA or post-Welker. I'm fine with no MLB, they obviously are comfortable with Irving. Just wish we would have taken avantage of this deep safety class. Adams is expendable. Would have preferred Shamarko Thomas in the 3rd over Webster.

I'd still love to see them grab him in free agency though. UDFA's turn into good players all the time anymore.
