Smith is a solid pick, he rushes with a ton of speed and he is really nice shoulder dip to turn the corner with leverage. He has active hands but doesn't generate enough power to consistently beat left tackles. Against Alabama he just flat abused Fluker when they put him on the left side of the defense.

He is a guy who should be a pass rush specialist only early on, which fits with the current roster projections.

You both actually liked him. Med did a list not too long ago where he said he really liked Q. Smith. You, however, I know from personal correspondance absolutely loved him. I give you lots of props. I talked you out of Hayden because of the medical, but I'm impressed with your draft acumen.

Now get Brandon Jenkins or Kevin Reddick and lets do this. Two injured pass rushers, but Jenkins can ball.

Elway has been saying all along that Irving and Johnson were going to compete at MLB. He obviously was serious. We invested a 3rd in Irving, so I'm fine with that if they are comfortable with him. Just because he didn't play much the first two seasons doesn't mean he hasn't developed. As a fellow draftnik, I'm surprised you don't appreciate giving your draft investments a chance after time to develop.

He smoked the 11th overall pick to get that sack!!! He'll get plenty of future opportunities to do it to Fluker some more.

I think Denver does their medical evaluations pretty carefully, so they probably were fine with his rehab.

Terry Hawthorne finally went. He went in the 3rd round in our mock draft. Requiem made fun of the selection. lol. Well done!

Gray Caldwell@GrayCaldwell1m

Kayvon Webster said he received a text from Peyton Manning: "If Peyton tells me that it's time to work, it's time to work."

Gotta love his attitude
