What the **** are you talking about? Ball's pass pro is extremely solid by rookie RB standards.

I'm no expert but he looks pretty good to me. Especially at #58.

I'm not concerned about the mileage. Marcus Allen, Herschel Walker, Thurman Thomas, Ricky Williams, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Michael Turner all had more mileage. Ball is better for going back to Wisconsin.

I like both drafts so far!

As far as "wore out," he is a young guy. Unless he has an injury, he'll be fine. I think. And hope. =)

Damn, just watched the video. His change of direction skills are off the charts. That shake and bake move in the open field is just wicked. Kid has the shakes, and definitely has a knack for finding the end zone.

Yep, there's a big difference between having lots of carries in your early twenties and having lots of carries in your mid to late twenties. It's a concern, but it's not a huge concern. RB's are not expected to last in the NFL anyway.

I'd hoped we would find a MLB in the second round but with Teo, Brown, Minter and Alonzo gone that wasn't to be. Pity.

Happy with Ball though, should be able to come in and be productive straight away which is important for us. On paper he and Hillman should compliment each other well.

Great vision. Makes quick cuts. Runs hard. Fights for extra yards. Good hands. Complete package 3 down rb. He might not have track star speed but neither did emmitt smith.

Montee Ball

The Broncos have been my favorite team ever since I started watching football, he said. To be a part of this family is something very special.

Ive watched Terrell Davisall of his interviews; all of his highlights; everything, Ball said. I grew up watching him a little bit. Its really crazy right now. Im so excited. Im very, very excited.

"Im extremely consistent," Ball said at the NFL Scouting Combine. "You can count on me when I have the ball in my hands 924 carries, only two fumbles. So I do a great job of protecting the football. I score touchdowns. You can count on me to make the play and be there for you."

"I try to model my game after Terrell Davis," Ball said. "Hes my idol."

"I know that I can help a team win," Ball said. "Thats what I truly believe in. My film shows that."

John Fox

Quote:
Montee is a productive player with excellent feet and vision, Head Coach John Fox said. We view him as a three-down back that will be a great fit for our team. He has top-flight character and were pleased to add him to the Broncos.

Because of his shiftiness, vision and quick feet it looks like he doesn't take that many big hits.

His does have a lot of carries but he had only 2 fumbles in college with 924 carries. Does anyone know why they stopped throwing to him?

No, Ball has the wear, but Lacy has the tear.
