I like the kid, and would agree he is as good or better than the guys in this draft perhaps (learning from brady etc) but get real. Id tell them to sit on their fist and rotate.
If you don't like this potential trade, go look at what Atlanta got for Schaub for virtually the same level of experience.

Mallett has appeared in 4 career games, Schaub had appeared in 38 before he got dealt to the Texans. not even close to the same situation.

but this is again why i want us to start racking up QB talent so we can deal them away for insane compensation.
The Broncos aren't like the Patriots. The Patriots are like a virus that has spread throughout the NFL for the past decade...each virus or "plant", has attempted to "kill" the host (or team) that it has infected, while distributing as much of the host's resources back to the Patriots as it can.

Lombardi links way back to Bellicheat. Lombardi was horrible as a GM in the '90's, and was horrible as an analyst. Lombardi's kid was Mallett's QB coach last year.

If we didn't have Welker and Holliday, I would definitely want Denver to get Austin. The guy is shifty, strong, and has megawheels. Somebody is going to be very happy, with him...

Some rumors have Austin going to the Jets at 9.

Jason Cole ‏@JasonColeYahoo

One seemingly safe prediction is LB Jarvis Jones to Pittsburgh at 17. Little talk of him moving up and he fits 3-4.

D.J. Hayden - DB - Player

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports that "several executives" believe the Raiders will take Houston CB D.J. Hayden at No. 3 if they can't trade back.
The Raiders are open to trading down if a deal can be swung, but they are prepared to take their man in Hayden with the third pick if a partner can't be found. Oakland needs help all over the field, especially on defense, and Hayden has been steadily picking up steam as the draft's top corner. The Raiders may not be able to trade down too far if they want him. The Lions at No. 5 and the Browns at No. 6 also have a cornerback need.

poor guy you survive death only to get drafted by death.

Tavon Austin - WR - Player

ESPN's Todd McShay stated on SportsCenter Thursday he's hearing "a lot of buzz" about the Rams trading up for Tavon Austin.
Meanwhile, colleague Adam Schefter is reporting the Rams have put the No. 22 pick up for sale, perhaps in order to recoup some picks they'd surrender in a trade-up for Austin. St. Louis would have to get in front of the Jets to safely secure Austin. Moving from No. 16 to No. 8 might cost St. Louis both of its other top-80 selections (Nos. 46 and 78). Throughout the pre-draft process, it's been clear the Rams covet Austin. But that's a very steep price.

You were right on Carradine from the start Req. Major props.

Rams are willing to give up #22. Broncos should trade up to get Carradine or Moore.

They ain't trading up for Bjoern. The Broncos have better ammo.

Sharrif Floyd - DL - Player

NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline reports the Raiders are now "unlikely" to draft Florida DT Sharrif Floyd, even if they stay put at No. 3.
One source close to the situation insisted "the mock draft community is overrating Sharrif Floyd." Pauline believes Floyd could now slip to the Titans at No. 10. We've had a sneaking suspicion all along Floyd might last on the board later than people expect. While he has great ability, Floyd's college production was below average and he is a one-scheme player limited to 4-3 defenses.

Luke Joeckel - T - Player

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports the Chiefs have informed Luke Joeckel that Eric Fisher will be the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday night's draft.
If true, the Jaguars will have plenty of teams trying to trade up and take Joeckel in the No. 2 spot. As was reported on Wednesday, the Chiefs coaching staff reportedly preferred Fisher over Joeckel, while the scouts wanted Joeckel. Coach Andy Reid appears to have won out. Fisher has also been receptive to the idea of playing right tackle should Branden Albert not be traded.

Juicy tidbit.

Off this information, I can completely eliminate ALL women from my draft board.

Source tells me that the Chiefs have not informed Luke Joeckel that Eric Fisher will be their pick at No. 1 overall as claimed elsewhere

Elway was talking in generalities because the conversion before he came on was about trading up so Rose asks Elway how he would hande trading up if someone they liked was at 24.

Elway said "who knows" we'd look into it but I can't keep track.
There are 2nd round guys in the top 10 right now he said half jokingly

Just because Ed is part of the walrus club doesn't mean I'm going to believe him.
