Yes. Would an unscriped show have cameras in perfect spots for dramatic reaction shots at other locales (like someone's home)? The director is reading a script, and it's telling the camera person to set up at that locale. Otherwise, reality shows would more closely resemble Blair Witch Project (meaning, the camera doesn't know where to go, and it's just following the person around)...

There's nothing remotely real about "reality" shows. It's been that way since MTV started this crap back in the early 90's. MTV created "real life" by throwing a bunch of 20 year old morons into a Manhattan, NY 5 bedroom apartment (yah, that's real) and then creating drama that would never happen in real life like having an ultra liberal living with an ultra conservative just to watch the fireworks. None of them apparently had jobs.

Hey, this is "reality" tv, right?
