Conner Vernon, a Blue Devils wide receiver, experienced an unexpected benefit at Duke. When Peyton Manning journeyed to Durham to train with his old college coach, David Cutcliffe, Vernon was recruited to be one of Manning's targets as the veteran QB recovered from neck surgery. Time working with the four-time NFL MVP paid off for Vernon, who caught 85 passes, for 1,074 yards and eight TDs during his senior season at Duke. Vernon has drawn comparisons to Greg Camarillo. Vernon is a cousin of former NFL kicker Al Del Greco.
The last two years I believe. That is why I feel he about a 75% chance of being a Broncos.

I don't know a damn thing about Rayon Simmons and when I think of Winona, I think of the Primus song...."Wynona's got herself a big brown beaver".

Not sure I see the fit when they have a similar player in DeSean Jackson.

Can't have enough speedsters in an Oregon spread offense.

From watching that highlight film of Simmons I saw a lot of him getting to the second level before ever seeing a defender because his OLINE was blowing the front 7 up... Has a nice jump cut and decent power, but no thanks unless UDFA

Tavon Austin is my favorite player in this draft.....his game and skill set will translate well in the NFL....especially with the way offenses are evolving.

Yep....I'd bring him in as an UDFA, but I wouldn't spend a draft pick on him.

I would imagine the Jets pick up a offensive weapon with one of their first rounders. Ideally, they should pick up Mingo then trade back with the vikings to get two first rounders and pick up a WR (Hunter) and TE (Ertz) with those picks.

So he's a hair over 5' but 223lbs? Believe it or not, I love this combo. He'll get lost in the traffic in the NFL. LBers won't be able to see him or track him which can be a very good thing. I'm not thrilled with his 40 time but he can definitely be a power RB in the NFL IMHO. Yes, his short and stocky body will protect him. I'd be ok if the Broncos took a flyer on him in the 7th round.

Philly will riot and tear down that damn stadium if he picks a WR not only that high but a guy who's basically a shorter DeSean Jackson.
they need OL,DL,DB & TE badly. they don't have time to take a WR in round 1 and especially not at #4.

Austin is not the same as Jackson. He would play the slot and in the backfield in Kelly's offense. The DAT role. DJax and Maclin would play outside.

Number 6 is De'Anthony Thomas 5-9 173 pound RB. That is the role Austin would play.

Did definately look slow in the highlight real. Quick cuts in the hole but no game changing speed. KM 2.0?

this isn't Oregon though. he will have to adjust his offense, that type of stuff won't work full time in the NFL.
Jackson can play the slot and is similar in the types of things he can do to Austin.
Philly fans are not going to take that well when WR is already a strength of that team.

If a NFL coach drafts to please fans he is fired already lol. Jackson can barely hold up as it is no way can he play that role better then Austin.

i didn't say he should draft to please him. but it is common sense to build the lines in a meat and potatoes draft when your biggest issue is that you can't keep your QB's healthy.

adding a slot that high is insane and i didn't say Jackson would do it better. i said he can play the role without needing to draft a slot @ #4 overall.

Manti Te'o falls off one team's board for 2013 NFL Draft

"We've kind of taken him off the board," one scout told Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Monday. "He doesn't have enough ability to put up with all that. Why fool with it? Try-hard, smart (Wonderlic of 23) guy. This was the first year he's really gotten himself in shape. Some of his teammates think he's kind of a phony."
