His ACL injury aside I'd draft him over a late first round DE

Personally, I'd use our 3rd round pick on a RB. I think there will be one of our top 3-4 RB's available at 90. I'd prefer to use our first 2 picks on defense.

I believe 2 of the following will be availabe at 90: Bell, Ball, Taylor, Michael

And, I'm not sure that I love Lacy that much more than these 4 guys. So, why spend our #1 or #2 on a back?

Here's what I want:

#28: Werner or Rhodes or trade back to 40 and take Moore, Minter, or Hayden
#58: Jamar Taylor, Hankerson, or Teo
#90: Le'veon Bell or Taylor

I just think the RB you can get in the 3rd round will be better value then the CB, DE, DT you can get in the 3rd round. Plus, we will be throwing the ball 65% of the time and using a RB committee most of the season.

Be interesting to see how many sacks Elvis got with the score within 7 points

My guess maybe 4

Elvis made $18MM last year for 11 sacks and zero impact in the playoff game

more than any other defensive player in the league other than Freeney
Read somewhere that 7.5 of his sacks came in the 4th when the game was already out of reach.

You seem to be living in fantasy land if you think Rhodes is going to be at #28. Bell is not going to be at #90. I doubt Werner falls that far either.

Hankerson? Who is that?

T'eo at #58? . Lololol.

Read somewhere that 100% of ALL interceptions come on passing downs.

Yeah, the guys at MHR did that article. Garbage time sacks when we were up double digits and there were less than minutes to go in games. Lol. Da truth hurts.

Elvis had 7.5 sacks WHILE WE WERE AHEAD. Not when games were "out of reach". (68%)

Similarly, Von had 13.5 sacks WHILE WE WERE AHEAD. (73%)

We should cut him.

Guys, JJ Watt was ALSO at 73% and Aldon Smith is at 74%!

What a bunch of busts!

...It's almost like there's some relationship to playing with a lead and sacking the opposing QB!

Just goes to show how sacks are an overrated stat. Third down stop % when the player is on/off the field is much more valuable.

Just sayin that Dooms sack numbers were'nt all that impressive. His FF stat as well as his leadership will be missed more. However, I will not miss him jumping off sides in critical moments at least once a game.

Forcing a QB to throw it in the dirt or off target on a 3rd down will be missed the most.

Fun fact: Von Miller incurred over 50% more penalties in the 2013 season than Elvis Dumervil (a team leading 11 times flagged)

We are four days away from draft day and we are still having a pissing contest over Doom, what he did do and what he didn't do..

Thankfully our Brass is focused on the draft..

Fun fact: Doom jumped offsides more than any other Bronco last season. Once on a very important 3rd down play against the Ratbirds in the playoffs. A game in which he got owned by Mckinnie and did NOTHING.

Excellent point. Imagine how much better the Broncos would do in the draft if its fanbase focused on the internet...

Is your point that Miller's penalties were much more costly than offsides?

If so, good point, man.

85 yards vs 38 yards, and a lot more chain moving in the wrong direction.

So whats going to happen.. We dwell on this until a rookie, or Ayers, or a FA become Pro Bowl caliber? Is loosing Doom really gonna cost us a Super Bowl?

1. I have a feeling this is going to be a pretty big topic of discussion for quite some time, so you might want to get used it. Elvis hasnt even had his first sack as a Raven yet... when that happens, then you can start getting sick of the discussion because it'll be everywhere.

2. And I sure hope not.

You weren't around when players like cutler Marshall scheffler Hillis etc etc left this team. There are fans here who like certain players. Let some fans vent for Christ sake.

Considering the broncos won the majority of their games by more than one score, I doubt the absense of any one player, other than manning and miller, will be the difference between us and a potential Super Bowl
